by apocalypse ini have looked around and i don't see this covered, so i am starting a thread.. 1) the new "blood card" goes beyond being just a "blood card".. 2) a new edict concerning compliance.. pay attention to the changes.. first, the new card is termed "advance decision to refuse specified medical treatment".
the big change with the card itself is that it includes an 'override' of your "power of attorney".
this is huge.

So... Are they done printing the number of partakers?

more of a, wtf, face.
one paragraph says, "therefore,the number of partakers does not accurately indicate the number of anointed ones left on earth.".

I feel that some have missed something important (as did all those at my hall). Stating the number of the anointed left alive was another time prophecy due to is direct linking and often quoted date of 1935 being the end of sealing of the 144,000. Due making the statement that the real number of anointed is unknown, they have effective distanced themselves from it. As those a bit older may remember, how any times did we hear that the end was coming very soon because of the fast dwindling 'number'. It also can be used to explain how members of the GB on the body despite being born after 1935.

Ekala Convention Hall To be Sold - Sri Lanka
by Sanath insri lanka has only one convention hall which is situated at 44, agaraduguru mawatha,ekala,ja-ela wp.
this was built on some where around 1990's.
now the sri lanka branch committee has decided to sale the property.what is the reason behind this??????????????

I have the feeling that countries are now on their own financially. If a branch can't manage with their own contributions and be at least self-sufficient, then they'll have cut back somehow to make end meet. This would explain the selling Kingdom Halls in lands with some growth. -

by Freeandclear ini was just reading through some posts and had a startling realization.. the comment that sparked this went something like this: why oh why when i started into this in 1989 did i not research the history of the wtbts?
etc....... i too was studying and moving towards baptism around that same time.
i got dunked in dec of 1990.. my thought.

In regards to Organization, some may not correctly understood what the real effect of the aged Brotherhood is going to have on the Witness population. We all know that half the Brothers in our congregations are already in their 60's and many are touching their 70's. When they die, they'll do it en masse and crash the viability of most Kingdom Halls in the modern world. With no new blood coming in; it will become a very hollow religion very quickly. -

I've thought about this for some time and while I don't have an answer, it has a direct link to the resurection hope and the question wether or not we have a soul. The way I see it is that if Jehovah remembers every single detail of us (down to arrangement of our sub-atomic particals) but there is no physical/spiritual/electrochemical linkage between our old body and the new one; then in reality the newly resurected person will only be a very exact clone of ther person who died. That person will swear he is the same person, he'll have the same memories, feeling and desires but is in reality, only a good copy. As mentioned before in the 6 day cloning issues. However if the soul does exist, then could be simply put back into a new shell. There was the term "soul sleep" disscussed in the passed to address some theological problems; but if the soul dosen't exist, i can't see how the consciousness of a person can be transfered. And if a clone was made, then the person would only be resurected metaphotically speaking. -

1950 Watchtower Bound Volume now Complete!

a big thank you to jaydee for all of his hard work of scanning the watchtowers into jpg files which i received and converted into pdf files and made them searchable.
jaydee worked day and night to get these files finished for us and i really appreciate his kindness... we only had to darken out one name on one shipping label.

I think that the reason for doing such a huge project would be to prevent the Organisation rewriting history by editing the digital copies. Also most people dont have all the physical issues and with time getting a whole set will be getting more difficult as they degrade with time. -

by no-zombie inin responce to the royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse held in australia last year, the state government of new south wales has passed legislation that removes the time limit on civil claims for child sexual abuse.
while not applying to the whole of australia, its likely that the other state will follow nsw's example shortly.
