They came knocking on the door on Sunday. Daughter looked out window and told that it was a Witness, he told her not to open door. Boy, that shocked me!! A good shock!

UPDATE: Still no meeting attendance for either one of us. Every meeting that passes by unattended, just reinforces that I was correct when he went out in services just to apease the elders for another 6 months.
It appears my husband does not want to face the fact that the org is wrong....just wants to slowly disappear without facing it.

Hubby is at bachelor party for a fellow witness brother. With an armload of Elders. I bet that party is just a rocking! While I am on this site....reading all I can find! How ironic!

Well,
As I thought, my hubby called and canceled the study for last night. He said he was too tired. When he called the elder last night to cancel, my husband was then invited by the Elder to a bachelor party being held at his house for tonight.
My comment was, "Isn't that nice. Cancel a study and be invited to a bachelore party, all in the same breath! You being invited to things was never the issue to begin with." And I left it at that.

Good point elsewhere, but you do not see JW's standing outside Catholic church's with picket signs and megaphones. I think that is more like what my husband was referring to.

Many of the current JWs are former Catholics who can rag on the catholic religion all day long. Doesn't that make them "Apostate Catholics"?

My husband did not go to meeting last night...just confirms my suspicions that he only went out in service to "keep the hounds at bay". We have study Thursday night in our home, which I have already informed him that I do not wish to attend. I wonder if he will acccept another study invite from the Elders after that? Probably not. I'll let you know after Thurs.

Runaway slave...pretty ironic, don't you think?!
I was pretty fearful to explain to the Elders last Thursday evening my disappointment with the "lack of love" in the congregation. I was fearful that it would possibly backfire on me, surrounding me with door knockers this weekend. You know...even after I cried to them telling them of how lonely and shunned i feel, I still have not revceived a phone call or stop by from anyone? That just goes to show myself that I was right to begin with. I am doing the right thing by leaving...I just now have to learn to accept that and move on. Which by the way, is more difficult than I thought it would be.
My husband had a phone call last night from his brother who was telling him of a brother that was disfellowshipped. (Aren't the JW's the worst for gossip?!) Anyways, after he hung up, I was compelled to ask him what was going on. I should not have...I should have just taken it with a grain of salt and said to myself...do not get mixed in with the "JW's". The society trained me not to get mixed up with "worldly" issues, now I have to train myself not to get mixed up in JW's issues.
