Thank you all for your wonderful comments!! I am very proud of my husband, its going to be a very intense training for him and for us im sure..I still have some fears for his safety. But as a good wife I feel that I need to support his choice. We haven't been to the hall for about one year so we really don't give a damn about what anybody would think, my hubby never really like the privileges anyways due to all the politics with the elders.
For the last 2 years we have had guns in the house, our kids have never been in danger we have actually taken them to the shooting range and have taught them how to respect a weapon, Im pretty kick ass in the shooting range...nothing is more dangerous than a girl with a gun lol
i just tell my husband to be safe and don't go shooting everybody

Oubliette- I thought a witness could not carry a gun or have government jobs?
I new a brother that worked in a factory he painted little parts red that's all he did, they one day he found out that that part went into the military planes, it was the button they pushed to send out the bombs, well as soon as the elders found out he had to quit his job!!
We even had an elder talk to us because some how he found out we had a gun for protection at home , so one meeting they took my hubby back and gave him a long talk about it, what's funny is that that elder has a rifle in his own house!!

Talk about doing a 180* change!! My husband after much thought went and passed for the police academy. Never would I have ever imagined my jw husband now becoming a police officer. I can only imagine our families faces and actions when they find out , Im sure the elders will be knocking on our door soon to DF us .
Well this all do to the fact that we never were able to go to school and get a carrier , after so many years in the construction industry he can only take so much BS, they get treated like animals! all because his parents said that in paradise they would need houses built and he would have a carrier in the new order helping brothers..wow makes me sick.
I'm so happy and proud of my husband , this is a new beginning for all of us.
It would be hilarious if one day he would stop some of the elders and give them traffic violations!!!

When I was little (still in a stroller) we were preaching in a very bad neighborhood , lots of gangs. My mom started preaching at a door and the guy took out a shotgun and started counting backwards 10 9 8 7... he said "you better start running before i shoot you in the head"...mom starts running with the sister and at the same time pushing me in the stroller, the guy starts chasing us! as we get to the car , a police patrol passed by us and mom told them what happened.
very scary for a 3 year old..maybe thats why I always had anxiety going door to door.
Last year my husband and I with our small children were preaching in a decent area and a man opened the door, So my husband starts talking, the whole time the man didn't say anything but I noticed that he had his hand behind his back. Well within a few minutes of my hubby taking to him, He just looked at my husband and said you better get off my property before I use the gun behind my back and shoot you and your family!! ever since that incident my husband was not the same , He would tell that he felt it wasn't worth risking our life.
These were the top scary experiences we have had. Other than that, having dogs released to chase us down , naked guys opening the door

A little over a year ago my nephew volunteered there for a month and he told us that In the grand entrance of the new building was going to be a $1MILLION DOLLAR CHANDELIER!!! it came out in a newspaper article , i also heard other Jdubs talking about it. My brother in law an elder was very bothered by this, we talk about it with him.. couldn't they have used that money to actually do some good maybe?? ummmm let me think...maybe help orphans or widows???

Today is our 1 year anniversary since we last steeped into the kingdom hall!! Time has passed by really fast. Truthfully I could never go back , we feel so much peace and less stress since we stopped going. my family stopped talking to us since last september but a few weeks ago my parents contacted me saying that they wanted to see us, they said that they didn't want to loose contact and if we can separate religion from family they would talk with us again. This really took me by surprise because they went to the extreme of changing there phone numbers so i couldnt contact them . So I asked what made them change their mind and she said that they had read IN THE LAST WATCHTOWER that one should show love to the ones who are inactive and thats what they want to do...so i have a feeling that this will not last long, as soon as the holidays come and they find out we are doing them i know they wont be able to understand. After 1 year we have not been contacted by any brothers or elders ( so loving right) but i can feel its coming!! my hubby prefers to just get DF'd and get it over with and live our life...so we will see how this story continues
