today in our weekly world-wide meeting of over 6 million witnesses, we studied the watchtower magazine.

in today's study it says "...powers within the united nations will see religion as a disturbing element and will act to destroy...christendom as well as the rest..."

I am a Jehovah's Witness. Today in our weekly world-wide meeting of over 6 million Witnesses, we studied The Watchtower magazine. In today's study it says "...powers within the United Nations will see religion as a disturbing element and will act to destroy...Christendom as well as the rest..." It goes on to say "...the entire world empire of *false religion stands on the brink of destruction". w 10/15/05 p.19 * False religion is everybody who is not a Jehovah's Witness. Of course as a Jehovah's witness, I clearly understand that we as a world-wide Society will be omitted from this impending destruction, and the Watchtower is always correct and blessed alone by God Almighty to predict the future. So I know you are planning to destroy all the world's religion any day now. Are you bold enough to tell me how you are planning to do it. Can you give a 'heads up'..?

i'm told this is what the new "organized" book says about real estate on page 16: "what then are the "belongings"?

these are all the spiritual assets on earth that have become christ's property in connection with his authority as heavenly king.

That's the thing.

When you take a look at it this way.

You are sitting in your car (YOUR car) at a stoplight. A guy walks up with a 44 magnum and points it at you through your non-bulletproof window and he yells GET OUT.

Who owns the car at that point?

The Governing Body of JW's was the legal Board of Directors. These names are for the most part interchangable as the board of directors ARE the governing body of that organization.

Every legal organization or corporation has legal representatives termed the "govering body". That term takes into account the board, the president and other officers.

The legal board of directors of the Watch Tower Corporation was the governing body. Same guys.

If in the year 1999 you contacted the US Government and inquired as to the names of the members of the legal governing body (note: no capitalization of the term) of the Watch Tower Corporation they would have responded with the names of the board of directors.

They were one and the same.

If you contact the US Government today and inquire as to the names of the governing body of the Watch Tower Corporation you will not hear Klein and Sydlik etc. in that list. Those who claim to be the Governing Body are only a psuedo governing body. They have no legal control any longer. They gave it up under the "new arrangement".

But that doesn't matter does it? The real governing body of the Watch Tower Corporation answers to the psuedo "Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses".

Legal entities have governing bodies. People do not.

It's all symantics.

So, while the deed will still bear the name of the congo who is the small not-for-profit using the hall, the local elders will never see that piece of paper as it resides comfortably in a file at HQ

And the local elders have legally signed over the legal decision making rights to the circuit overseers who the WTBTS can more easily control.

I don't need a law degree to stare down the barrel of a 44 magnum and understand who's in control.

Bill Gates isn't rich. He just has "authority" over buckets of money.

There is a kingdom hall, (or is that queendom hall since the org is our "Mother") on Commisioners Road in London Ontario Canada. Just 2 hrs drive from the Canadian branch office in Georgetown.

It's a double hall.

It's vacant.

The name Jehovah's Witnesses has been stripped off the sign. The name Kingdom Hall has been stripped from the building. There's weeds growing up from the sidewalks. All the contents are in place. The chairs and tables. Everything.

It's a new hall. A double yet. At least 2 congos. The WTBTS dissolved it in a heartbeat.

Go see it for yourselves. I am sure it's for sale.

This is new in a way.

The wording is new and quite forthright. In the past, congregation elders held the title deed and the WTBTS had the elders by the short hairs.

In a sense the local elders were the proxy through which the WTBTS held control of the real property.

As time went by, the WTBTS had less and less faith in their own control over local elders, so they have taken it a step further.

Recently, we paid off our KH. The loan was held by the Canadian Branch, and therefore the title deed was kept by them until the loan was paid at which point it would come to us.

The elder responsible for the books requested the title deed be sent to us at the local level after the final payment was made. He asked again and again. They never even responded. (Thanks Ken Little.)

Imagine. They cashed the check and ignored his inquiry.

He asked and asked until he had a stroke. Now he's out of commision and nobody else has the balls to ask.

Then a letter was read that stated Circuit Overseers are now in charge legally of all properties. Then the wording changes in the organized book.

Yes, it is new for those who missed it.

A brother in our hall was boasting one day about how the local elders were in control of the real property.

I corrected him. He defiantly stood his ground believing the old rules still applied (as noted above)

Now he sees.

Field Service is a Farce

i touch on this subject in another post but i felt the need to take it further...back in the day jw's went out in fs but i don't know about today.... i live in a big city....the territory my congregation has is small because there are so many cong.

here.. our bookstudy only had maybe four blocks at the most to work.

my ex husband and i would go to the meetings and hear talk about fs and all the wonderful and experiences and the joy oh joy in being out in the ministry.

I remember back in the late 90's when I started to fake it. I still fake it.

As far as actually talking to people goes, I rate it a successful day when I get through it without having to talk to anyone.

I love the territories with door bells. You can fake pushing them. Even the fellow elder working with you is not the wiser. It's amazing to see how many dubs are just so happy when nobody comes within 5 seconds and they start to run away.

Dubs have three FS speeds. Theres low gear (for between doors), super low gear (approach to door) and high gear (when nobody answers in 5 secs)

On my FS slip, I alternate my hrs. between the numbers 8, 9, 10 and sometimes 11

Mags are 2,4, and sometimes 6. Occasionally I use an odd number for those who only want Awake LOL

First, in the way of history, the WTBTS got linked up with the UN as an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization).To do so, the Watchtower had to conform to the rules. (rules which the Governing Liars deny knowledge of)

The rules were that they had to print UN promotional information in one of their journals. That ended up being the Awake! magazine. Many pro-UN individual articles were printed and submitted to the UN as proof that the Watchtower was conforming to the rules governing NGO's. Note that during the investigation of Watchtower, we received as a proof, a facsimile copy from the UN office (DPI) of an Awake article written for the sole purpose of being submitted by Watchtower to the DPI at UN HQ in adherence to the rules that Watchtower knows nothing about )

I still haven't gotten to the good part.

Now recently, after all that's happened, we have seen more Awake articles about the UN very similar to the ones written originally for the sole purpose of conforming to UN regulations governing NGO's. This has led to speculation that the WTBTS is planning to do it again.

No. That's not what's going on.

First, ask yourself this question. Did we really expect to see WT drop the articles about the UN?

If they did suddenly cease writing articles about the UN in that way when they were caught with their pants down, then wouldn't that confirm that they knew the rules, followed the rules ?and hence lied about not knowing?

Here's what's happening friends.

Of course the WT realized that they couldn?t stop cold turkey in their UN promotional articles. That would be stark confirmation that they were printing them for the sole purpose of submitting them to DPI for being an NGO. Now, we don?t need to go far to get proof, as I said we received a fax from DPI of an Awake! article submitted to DPI in conformation with the rules (which WT supposedly knew nothing about) so that?s not the point. We know their deeds.

The point is, they would of course want to stop the UN promo?s. But they can?t stop just like that. They need to enlist the Serpent to put on a face of fakery.

So they keep it up until such a time as they announce:

Yes, just as the taxation issue in California drove them to drop the price tag from their literature and the issue was subsequently hidden behind the fakery of a spiritualized love of fellowman etc with a trumped up reason for the change (a lie), now the Watchtower does the same thing here!

Watchtower has again invited Satan into their midst to help conceal the truth. Satan tells them ?invent a lie to cover the truth? and so WT does. They offer the guise in the KM about how the Awake will take a new, more spiritual approach ?since we are so close to the end? ?blah-blah.

Yet the truth is simple. Watchtower needs to drop the UN charade but appear to do it for other than the true reason, namely that they got caught with their pants down on the UN debacle and now the Awake is a liability for which they have no purpose.
