Some of the "truth and righteousness"
for which Jehovah's Witnesses "take a stand"- Christ established an organization more than a way of life!
- We are the only religion that has THE TRUTH!
- You can't know the Bible without the Watchtower Society's literature!
- Salvation depends upon obedience to the Watchtower Governing Body!
- Salvation can be earned by support of and devotion to the Watchtower corporations!
- Christian spirituality is measured by meeting attendance and field service reports!
- Attending other churches amounts to demonism and apostasy!
- Apostasy from the Watchtower Society is just as evil as apostasy from God!
- Apostasy trials should be held in secret away from the ears of the congregation!
- The "congregation" of Matthew 18:17 is the body of elders or a committee appointed by them!
- Efforts to help are not nearly as important as finding evidence to disfellowship!
- It's more important to let a child die than to allow it to have a blood transfusion!
- Smoking is a disfellowshipping offense equally as punishable as adultery and murder!
- Celebrating wedding anniversaries is OK, but not birthdays or holidays like Christmas!
- The reputation of the Watchtower organization should be defended at all costs!
- Child molestation and other abuses should be reported to the elders rather than to the police!
- The Bible is addressed to the "anointed remnant," NOT to the "great crowd" or any others!
- The "great crowd" are God's grandchildren, not his children!
- Jesus is the Mediator only for "the anointed," NOT for the "great crowd"!
- Only "the anointed" are entitled to partake of the Lord's Supper!
- Jesus returned in 1914, not literally, but invisibly by giving earth's affairs his special attention!
- Jesus will NEVER return to the earth!
- Despite what historians say, Jerusalem was destroyed in 607 B.C.!
- God misled us for good reasons when we picked wrong dates for Armageddon!
