i think its quite improtant that you mentioned john10:16 Gumby, because if you read the last paragraph of john 9, through to 10:16, Jesus is talking to the Pharisees. Jesus came to gather sheep from Israel and not the gentiles at that time. he talks to the pharisees about his shepherd like role. then in 16 he says that he has other sheep which are not of this fold that he must bring. the sheep that arent of this fold(Israelites), are the gentiles. that to me that is the context and its quite logical. so it cant be referring to this seperate class of JWs. and what does the NT say about having class distinctions among yourselves?

does anyone disagree with that?

i don't think so, but the turks aren't known for being nice.. despite a barrage of criticism from the media, england are odds on favourites to win their next euro 2004 qualifying match against turkey at the sunderland stadium of light.

the visitors have won their opening three group games and anything other than a defeat would put them in a very strong position.

the hosts are currently at around evens to win group 7.. .

it is my pleasure to announce i have terminated my membership of the jehovahs wittnesses.

i shall be formally making this statement known to my congregation at tomorrow nights meeting after i have taken the ministry school.

for many years i have developed my own thoughts on religion and this along with the information i have learned here and on other sites has convinced me that i can no longer live teaching the bollocks the wtbs.

if you had a ounce of spirituality you would not say these things. when you say "they" you include me. you judge me aswell as everyone else. you dont know my circumstances or beliefs and yet you still judge? this wont be good for you.

this belief is a growing phenomena since 9/11, i did a search on google after someone mentioned on this board that they believe america is btgreat and it came up with pages in support of this view!

this belief is also being pushed by false prophets like jack van imp, he also claimed that osma was the anti-christ shortly after 9/11.

the consequences of pushing this doctrine will cause more fanatics to justify attacks against the usa or promote the belief "they deserve it", how sick.

the invasion forces suffered another self-inflicted disaster in the battle for hearts and minds yesterday when soldiers from the us 3rd infantry division shot dead iraqi seven women and children.

Maybe its because some think that American lives are woth more than Iraqi lives.

i would go further than that and say that some people value their own standard of living more than an iraqi's life. there are at least 2 people on this board who i've seen say as much.

it seems that i've i had critizism for using humour to make a point about the iraq war. why do i do it? is it because i'm taking the piss? no, i quite respect other's point of view. the thing is people keep making emotive posts in order to justify the war (and it's usually the same thing over and over again), and i understand the sentiment behind things like saddam's mass murders and torture, but when someone uses this to dismiss what in my eyes is a major reason for going to war ( and it not being something they want to hear), i sometimes make a humourous point about it. it's not in order to rubbish what they say, or being flippant, it's just that the whole thing needs some humour injected into it or it just gets depressing. or some people just dont have a sense of humour.
