Just wanting to share something positive.

hello friends.

i have been away from the forum for a while and just wanted to drop in to say a quick hi to all.. i was looking through some of the posts and remembering how i felt a couple of years ago when my entire family walked away from the borg, and the reasons for leaving.

there was so much hurt and sadness, confusion and anger, and of course fear!.

sunday night..................it's on again!.

every year my family keeps tradition and we watch hours of hilariously bad/not so bad european pop music.

from remote places like estonia to malta and germany, it's on for young and old.. we usually invite fellow esc fans/friends and we consume good wine, watch the show and have a fun night.. abba launched into their career by winning eurovision in 1974 with 'waterloo'.. here is the web site.......................enjoy.

Did you give your children 'Bible names'?

i have to admit that we gave our first two kids 'hebrew' names.

i don't want to identify my children online but suffice to say that we had at least some sense in that we opted for safe names of the samuel and daniel type - no melchizedeks!.

however, in our city we had a javan a samson [gen 10:2] and even a zechariah!

My kids got their names before i was a dub. the boys got bible names but nothing outrageous, and being italian/australian they work either way. my daughter has a beautiful italian name, but it is a derivative of a bible name.

Hello friends. I have been away from the forum for a while and just wanted to drop in to say a quick hi to all.

I was looking through some of the posts and remembering how I felt a couple of years ago when my entire family walked away from the borg, and the reasons for leaving. There was so much hurt and sadness, confusion and anger, and of course FEAR!

Now my life has moved on. Time has worked it's magic and now I feel my life has swerved back on track. My family is much more at peace and united. The kids are living their lives, making their mistakes etc, but I'm there for them enjoying a relationship with them and loving them no matter what. I go to birthday parties and celebrate mine and my family's. I have dinners, go to the movies, enjoy the company of my friends, am free from judging my 'associations' and I just accept people. I don't worry about how I'm using my time and how I view money. I'm still the same person I was before the borg, just a few scars...............thank god for vitamin E...............LOL.

I just wanted to share a bit of positive and hope with you. For anyone out there who feels like things are never going to be right in life because of the effects of the WTS...............don't feel helpless or lost. Look for the light and joy in life, it is there. Time is a great healer and allow people who can assist in your healing to touch your life. We all need eachother in some way...........who knows who will help you and in turn who you may help.

I don't mean to sound preachy...............just feeling happy and wanting to share it.

and the WTS protects pedophiles like many other churches, I know 1st hand. It is NO BETTER!

I come to this forum for support, comfort and empathy, something I got in 5 minutes...............something I NEVER got in 12 years in the WTS. Even after my child was sexually abused. So go to the meetings where you can hear the sound of your own voice over the PA system, where you may receive some appreciation for your self-righteous comments. Where you can feel like a martyr for missing out on healthy activities and making ALL those sacrifices for Jehovah.

Worry about yourself and let us look after ourselves....................do you think we haven't heard what you have to say BEFORE?????????? You are dealing with intelligent, enlightened people who have experienced the WTS.............it's corruption and lies.

So please don't insult us by preaching to us!

Hi Purple...............so how was the weather up north? We are heading off this Thursday. Going to Port Macquarie/Ellenborough/Gold coast and Noosa. I heard it's been a bit wet but I'm hoping it will get better by the time we get there.
