  My daughter has a brain tumor :(

  i am so terrified!.

  #2 daughter came home from college on 12/18 with a violent headache, nausea, neck pain and great fatigue.

  we took her to the dr. on the 20 and again on the 21st as she had kept nothing down for 3 days.

  how can anyone justify not accepting help or not offering help under these circumstances?

  thank goodness things were thought through and the $500,000 will be used to save lives.. seems like everyone is getting in to help................oh, except the jws who only help their own!

  Thank goodness things were thought through and the $500,000 will be used to save lives.

  Seems like everyone is getting in to help................oh, except the JWs who only help their own! (as a collective. I'ld like to believe some individual dubs are donating)

World Vision rejected the funds because they were raised from revenue from gambling and alcohol but the group has since changed its mind. Clubs New South Wales says World Vision's change of heart is too late and it will honour a new agreement with Care Australia. Care Australia's Grant Thomas says it is not concerned about where the money has come from. "On behalf of Care Australia we're extremely thrilled with the $500,000 donation from Clubs NSW," he said. "The funding's going to go towards some oral rehydration tablets which are desperately needed in the Aceh region at the moment.   newbie seeking others thoughts

  basically i have been reading the bible lately & doing extensive research on the web and have come across many things in my search...any imput put on various scriptures or sites i would appreciate.... .

  first of all i found more than a few religions that resemble the teaching of the jw's...so can they honestly say they are the only ones with the "truth"?

  scriptures i came across in my studies this week (if you have any other translations of these same scriptures please quote them in ur response i have 2 kjvs as well as the nwt that i am using...thanks!

  It will be great to get to know you and even chat sometime. When I first came here I found chatting a good way to see that others from all over the world in the same organization suffered similair things. I have found long lost dub friends on this board and made new ones.

  So here's to your journey of recovery and escape. It will not be travelled alone. You have many new friends now that will support and comfort you.

  I was just telling someone at work why I left the WTS. When I talk about the ordeal I start to get horror vibes and feel sick.

  Then I come back to my computer and read this post and see the program for the CA. Now I start to feel a real sense of freedom and peace.

  What a relief to not be spending precious days listening to all the BS.

  I'm looking forward to going to my in-laws house after work to discuss Xmas lunch. Here in Australia we always expect a hot day for Xmas which brings the thought of much refreshments, mmmmmmmmm, food, wine, beer and rest!

  Oh yeh...........to be out of the WTS and free of it's sick thinking and control.

  Hi everyone..............it's been yonks!! How are you all????????????? We are doing fine, just really busy living life.

  Well, last Saturday I was out at the markets with a friend (thank goodness). When I got home Mr Bliss informed me that a servant brought the CO around to our place for a 'friendly' visit. They weren't invited in but left a broucher, which Mr Bliss proceded to dispose of.

  Do you think they come to see if any 'pagan' object such as fairy lights, Xmas trees or cards are around?????????

  Anyhow, enjoy the festive season, stay safe and happy.

  PS: I'm going to a Xmas work party this week. An active dub is going to be there, should be funny seeing as though she is the reason the party name has changed from Xmas party to...........'end of year' party. A few colleagues have asked me if it was because of me and I tell them, "you got to be joking, I'm not a JW anymore" So people know that she is going, knowing it is a Xmas party but just called something else to ease her conscience. I think she is going to feel a bit uneasy knowing I know!!!!!! Like I care. I plan to have a ball
