  this always bothered me.. so the dust finally settles and your glad your still alive, so the first thing you do is phone your family and friends to see if their ok. no signal.

OK I'll go home first to check on everything, pull into your drive to see the bodies of neighbours you have known for years lying in the street, young, old, babies just left to rot in the sun.

  I need a cup of tea (this is England) but wait no power, oh and theres no water coming out of the taps .Time to walk to the Kingdom hall, the elders will know wot do, In fact most of the elders died as they were leading secret lives, so now panic starts to set in, your worried for your family but have no means of contact, because you moved to where the need was great and your family are hundreds of miles away.

  You need food and drink so go and loot the local store with the rest of the survivors, only the frezers have stopped working so the food is defrosting and the fruit and veg will start to turn in a few days. So tinned food it is but how to get it home, no petrol. Youve finally managed to get as much food and water as you need to your home (youve not even thought of moving into the nice big house) and your into survival mode.

  The next day the smell from the bodies starts and its only gonna get worse. Your sat in your garden drinking a warm beer, surveying the death and all of a sudden you see a bright light in the distance and wonder is it a sign from god (in fact is a nuclear power station going into melt down and exploding.

  Fires have now started to take hold in your town, but theres no one to put them out. The stores that contain all the food and goods you would need to survive are burning. The fire then reaches a chemical factory at the edge of your town, theres a blinding flash and.................................

  Are they really that stupid

  i was recently approached by a couple of borg drones while i was walking my dog, and i thought why not, may plant a seed or two (how wrong was i).

  there was no real logic to what they were saying but as i was in the local park the conversation started to veer to how wonderful nature was and how this was the work of a wonderful creator.

  i did not let on i was a former witness and let them continue with their fairy tale of creation and how the vast multitude of animals shows a loving god at work blah blah blah...... but i digress, the converastion then turned to how evolution was false.. apparently to earth is only a few thousand years old, so i mentioned about the burgess shale, to be met with blank stares.

  Apparently to earth is only a few thousand years old, so i mentioned about the Burgess Shale, to be met with blank stares. I explained that this was a rock formation over 500 million years old and how this formation contained hundreds of thousands of fossils fom the Cambrian Period thus preserving the early signs of life on earth. I know they wouldnt know any of this but I was on a role, so I continued with my brief history of the formation of the earth only to be stopped in my tracks...... older sisters says OH, NONE OF THAT STUFF IS REAL. ITS BEEN PLACED THERE BY SATAN AND HIS DEMONS TO DECEIVE MANKIND INTO NOT BELEIVING IN CREATION. Now it was me who returned the blank stare, I was dumbfounded. I just replied WTF and walked off.

  Dont get me wrong im not dissing them for not knowing what i was talking about, as it is very complex and many non jw friends have no idea, but their reply was well....................................................

  Regarding UN attacks BTG

  when I was in, 2 pioneers mentioned about about a brother, who knew a brother ( ad infinitum) who got talking to some who was in the UN (how they met him was never discussed). For some reason they told this guy about the UN attacking and banning religion, and this guy was shocked as it was meant to be secret that this is what they were planning and how did they know.

  These 2 pioneers took this gospel. Anyone else heard this story

  Creationism or evolution, or do I believe in god

  in the past year or so i've been completely evaluating whether i believe in god.

  i studied marine biology at uni for the last 3 years and it completely change my view on evolution.

  even when i was in i believed in evolution to a certain extent (ie the flood made no sense, the earth being 60000 odd years old etc etc) and this has made me question the existence of god.

Even when I was in I believed in evolution to a certain extent (ie the flood made no sense, the earth being 60000 odd years old etc etc) and this has made me question the existence of god. Believer, atheist, agnostic, I think I am still a believer but in A god, not the ones people are killing each other over. Why? I believe that something must have started it, as I believe (and I stress this is my own opinion) that life cannot come from lifeless matter. So yes in a sense I believe in A god but I completely reject religion.

  The kindness of (worldly) strangers

  yesterday i went surfing, when i had finished and got changed i tried to start my car, no joy.

  there were about 12 cars in the car park and the occupants of 8 of the cars all tried to help out at some point as they could see i was having difficulties, one guy even drove to a garage 5 miles away to get me a coffee i didn't even ask for as it was a freezing cold day and a couple of them let me sit in their cars to warm up while i waited for the rac.

  contrast this to a time when i was in and my car wouldn't start (different car lol) in a kh car park and all i got was snarky comments, or advice in passing but no one stopped to help out.. i know who i prefer, has anyone else been helped by the evil worldly's while ignored by the loving jw's.

  i was surfing at Bantham, South Devon, England. Yes the water was cold, but the surf was perfect one of those days when everything comes together.

  Surfing is the only time I feel completely free. I surfed hell of a lot when I was in. Often counselled on it, f%^k you i said (in my mind)
