I know this song is a about a guy coming out as gay, but it’s the way he is shunned and has to move out of his family home. Hits hard

Just for fun...
by Vidiot in…(and for the very first time), i thought i'd post a new topic completely non-wt-related... about a subject matter i have a particular affinity for.... ..i'm a major movie geek (most people here already know that), but one of the many things i especially like are what i call "middle-finger victory lines".. they are memorable (and extremely quotable) moments of dialogue, wherein the protagonist says an extremely cool or badass comment to a very deserving defeated opponent.... ...usually (but not always) said when victory has just been literally snatched from the clutches of certain defeat, and serving as a tall, proud, and victorious flipoff to the often (but not always) shocked-at-the-sudden-turn-of-events enemy.. my ten favorites:.
"smile, you sonofabitch.
"sheriff brody to the shark......just before firing his last bullet into a scuba tank lodged in the charging shark's open jaws.jaws (1975).

One that sticks in my mind.
Christmas eve 1998. Me and my friend rocked up at Mothecombe beach for a surf, the weather was lousy and the waves were messy but we decided to go in. After about an hour my mate said the waves were looking better in the river mouth. So as we paddled over the wind stopped, the sun came out and the waves turned to glass, absolutely perfect. We surfed till it got dark and our arms felt like jelly. We were even joined in the line up by an inquisitive seal which seemed to take an interest in my mate and scared the shit out of him lol. A prospective lousy surf turned into an epic session. Followed by a nice pint of Doom Bar at a pub on the way home. The mate I went with us no longer friends with me as he stayed in and I got dfd. Cest la vie.

by moley ini remember when my faith left me.
i used to enjoy meetings and used to participate but then all of a sudden i was finding myself bored shitless at meetings.
i was taken off the theocratic ministry school for not attending when i was due to give a talk and not long after did something naughty and got disfellowshiped.

I can remember my Jc one good elder ( who was a personal friend) one elder who made no comments and one really nasty all. I could think of was I wanted out. All this while I was dealing with severe mental health problems.

But what I want to say is what an amazing organisation the NHS is. From the paramedics to the docs and the nurses who cared for me on the ward who held my hand when I was in pain and were caring and professional. I ended up having another angioplasty and now have three stents. It is a privilege to have universal health care and thus no medical bills. So a big shout out to the NHS which I know takes a lot of bashing but to me they were life savers

Watson. Here is one of my experiences
by moley ina little backstory.
please comment, is the just childish imagination or something unexplainable.. when i was nine we lived in modbury, it’s a small town, in devon the southwest of britain.
we lived in a very hold house, several hundred years old and down the way was 2 battle sites of the english civil war (one a minor battle won by the royalist and a larger battle won by the parliamentarians which ultimately lifted the siege of plymouth).
