  LOL...you guys crack me up!

  I think a game related to field service would be good. Sort a different version to the: "Knock-knock, who's there?" game.

  I can imagine what kind of game board we could create: cars, door bells, door knockers, creepy neighbourhoods, vicious dogs, nice householders; nasty householders; magazine placements; return visits; bible studies etc.

  Have penalties: back to the car; fell on ice; seduced by worldly householder; stumble someone; get yelled at by householder; car breaks down; ALL houses, NOT AT HOME; Stormy weather; no meals today etc.

  FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!

  Reaching 40, whats all that about!

  nearly everyone i know is 40 yrs old this year, even today a good friend reached the big 40. .

  i'm 40 in september (omg) and i dont feel any older than when i was 18. do you?

  I am sure everyone has heard the saying: Life begins at 40

  Honestly, I would have to agree, although I think a year or two before 40, one has lived enough of life to have more or less, got a good grip on things, overall.

  I turned 40, this past September. I looked forward to it. I feel great, and I look good. But of course, I cannot let any of this trick me into thinking it's going to always stay that way, so being aware of this, I just look after myself a bit better.

  40 is wonderful, and I think it can only get better from here. The wisdom one has gained through ones living experiences, make living, great! You just don't sweat the 'small stuff' anymore, and you can make quick decisions and resolve issues so much quicker than let's say 20 or 30.

  40 is about oneself knowing and loving oneself. It's great! I look forward to 50, because another 10 years under my belt, will prove to be so much more incredible.

  hi, i am new to the forum and would like to introduce myself by telling you all how i feel about things.

  this is aimed at the thousands of lost souls out there who dont know where to turn.

  life is not complicated unless you make it so... we as humans start of in this world with absolutely no possessions, emotions ( except survival ones), basic needs, no stress, anger, sadness or despairity just to mention some.

  How Many of U Really Believed This?

  i've read some of your great posts while my roommate is on the forum, but haven't been able to write anything for a while.

  but here goes.... how many of you really believed this as a jw or did you find it hard to sit with?.

  Hi Eisenstein. Your post brought back a memory. I cannot remember the name of the book, but it was regarding the book of Revalation.

  I remember reading it, studying it, and really getting into it, but it was also, quite a disturbing book, and as intrigued as I was at the time with it, it sometimes caused me to raise questions.

  In a patriarchal religion, such as the Jehovah's Witnesses, women are definitely admonished to keep their 'place'. (EW!)

  I think you raise good questions Eisenstein. As a woman who has endured some horrendous abuse at the hands of men, I empathize with you fully. I am so sorry to read that you have had to deal with such a personal trauma. Breaks my heart.

  When reading some of those prophecies (not literal, but still) women are not very often shown in a compelling light are they?

  It's great to see that women: free-thinkers, questioning JW sisters, and visitors to this forum, can express themselves freely, and share their thoughts and opinions with us, without fear.

  I hope you find comfort and support here with us. There are many countless wonderful supportive women on this forum.

  I am friggen huge, (trying a new style diet)

  whether this is going to work out or flop, i am not sure.

  the goal however is to make my eating habits public in an attempt to prevent myself from straying off my diet.

  i have not always been overweight but currently i am friggen huge.

  Hey Jelly, I certainly wish you the very best with this new diet.

  I know all too well, how difficult it is to lose a bit of weight. What drives me mental, is trying to cut down my fat intake. I am not obese, but my cholesterol levels, are not good, and at my age, I have to be careful.

  My grandmother who is 84, says 'no matter what she eats, or what exercise she performs, her cholesterol level is either the same or goes up'. What makes me laugh is when she says: "it's in the air".

  I've tried some diets, but well...we'll wait and see how you do with yours. Goodness knows at this time of year, especially in northern lattitudes, inactivity settles in. I can hardly wait for spring.
