IT OUR SON'S BIRTHDAY TODAY.

I RENOUNCE MY ASSOCIATION WITH JWS
by REALNESS init is my pleasure to announce i have terminated my membership of the jehovahs wittnesses.
i shall be formally making this statement known to my congregation at tomorrow nights meeting after i have taken the ministry school.
for many years i have developed my own thoughts on religion and this along with the information i have learned here and on other sites has convinced me that i can no longer live teaching the bollocks the wtbs.

Hey, thanks guys. We'll show him this thread tonight when we get home. Yes he got presents, but we're holding out until tomorrow when he has his friends over, we're taking them out for supper at his favourite restaurant East Side Marios, they have video games there to play with, along with air hockey, so while xjw and I are eating they can be playing and having fun and then we're all going back to our house for the big crazy sleepover, with Mom's favourite pancakes made Sunday morning.
The big present he got was a new Game Boy Advance SP, so we'll present that to him tomorrow. He is going to love it, because he's been bugging us for one, saying that he would even buy it.
I have to go home tonight and make his favourite chocolate ice cream cake with gummy worms on top, I dust the gummy worms with crushed oreo cookies , looks pretty disgusting but the boys like that kinda of stuff.
Dah, I just realized that I'll have to pass by this post so he doesn't know what he's getting tommorrow.

Nice to have you here.
Obviously your husband was never a jw and yes it is hard for those that have never grown up in the religion to see what we had to go through, and understand our feelings. My husband and I have friends that don't understand and when we get into discussions with them, especially the wife, she tries to see the good things in the jw org, saying that its like all religions. We've had to tell them point blankly that it is not the same as any religion, especially the shunning aspect of it. Needless to say, we stay off the religion aspect with them, because they actually get offended that we have such a dislike (abhorrance, loathing, etc.) for the bOrg. and what it has done to our family, torn it apart.
You can begin your healing process here, glad to have another newbie.

Yes my husband and I did the cabbage soup diet at the beginning of the year. I lost 8 pounds, He lost the same. When hubby went on it the first times, many years ago he lost I believe 14 pounds the first week. Its a quick jump start to a diet. You kinda of get sick of the soup everyday, but when you look at it, its only for a week, and you get results
