  How old was you when you learned to drive?

  i've never passed my test, never needed to because i lived near the city and could get from a to b at the drop of a hat.

  now living in a village it almost impossible to get anywhere so i am about to start taking lessons, at 39 i'm embarrassed and am dreading starting lessons.

  I was 15 when I started to test drive a vehicle. I was going out with an 18 year old at the time, he had a car so he would let me drive his car out on the rural roads. It was not a problem. It really isn't that difficult. But when I got my licence I was 20 and got my licence the first time I went for the test. It's like riding a bike. Don't worry, be happy

  i was told about this site from family members that have all survived/overcome being jw's.

  i must admit it is wonderful and so disturbing at the same time, to read all of these stories.

  it's amazing what a religion/cult can do to you, first by embracing you then completely consuming you.

  Joanna thanks for clarifying that about Beans.

  And thanks for thinking of us up here. Everyone here in NW Ontario are okay. WE did a lock down immediately in our hospitals here, so we have had no known cases since the scare started. So we'll keep our fingers crossed.

  wildfire here and man am i glad i came back.

  she knows the horror stories of how my annointed ex husband treated me and my kids........ i know i am rambling on ,, but i really needed some one at that very moment of desperation... so i called a true friend to come over and take me away some where any where......and guess what,,, that is exactly what he did without hesitation....( he too was treated badly in his youth by the nazi cultic borg ) if he would not have been there to console me=========i may not be writing this now.... well i couldnt sleep ,, so i woke up at 4 am and decided to visit my invisible angels online..... i read and cried many posts touched my heart with the reality that we are all in this together,,,,,,,.

  those bastards arent going to get me down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  Do whole sections of the New Testament go just completely ignored? I guess the answer is yes.

  Yes, but that is the case in almost all religions....including catholism. Religions IMHO all try to put their own spin on " their interpetation of the bible " ...so now surprise for me there.

  It was also apparent to me that there was some effort to speak to people who may be new.

  The " memorial " is the Main Event of jwism. They promote this event as much as much as possible, and encourage their current members, ( and this year instructing the elders of the congregations ) to make a concerted effort to invite as many as possible to this service. New ones, lax ones, and even the discarded. It keeps their numbers up. So no surpise there, with people " fawning " over you.

  Clearly James was talking about feeding the hungry but apparently JW's believe it means they must go door to door to be justfied.

  The door to door work is one of the foundation stones of jw-ism. If they dropped it, they would no longer be able to peddle their magazines and publications that raise the majority of income for their company, and they would cease to exist.

  Everything just took a sharp left turn at one point separating the believers into two classes

  Yup. Jesus died only for those few of "that class" and not the rest of us. Total bullsxxt, but again another of those teachings they are anchored to, and refuse to admit they are wrong. BTW most jws don't even realize that fact, and that is why the WBTS invented the " great crowd " when their numbers increased past 144,000. What were they going to do with the rest of us who jumped on board after the boat was full ?

  What really blew my mind were the songs. They were such obvious and blatant propaganda material with very specific doctrinal messages in them

  Never looked at it that way, and you know.....of course you are correct. Just another ingredient in their cult soup.

  It's strange - the very unnatural decisions such an unnatural doctrine forces you to make.

  Anyway, I just wanted to let you all have my eyes from the outside.

  I finally went to the grave site, and it was a definate reality check......

  today, i was passing by where she was buried.

  i went back to the office and told them i couldn't find her.

  she had been buried in 1996!!!!!!!!

  (((((((Jesika)))))))))) Wiping tears from my eyes.

  I know where your coming from. A good friend of mine passed away a couple of weeks ago. Our mothers were in the hospital together giving birth to us. I lost touch with her when I left the borg. Thank god a kindhearted soul from my old congreation called me to tell me that she had passed away waiting for an organ transplant.

  Maybe I would have been better off not knowing because your words bring back a lot of pain and hurt.

  It is sad that we are robbed of saying goodbye to someone, in their final days. Just to say "I love you".
