Satan thrown to earth "about" 1914?
by wearewatchingyouman inso i'm thumbing through the new "silver sword" and i notice that in the appendix under "message of the bible" that it says, "about 1914 jesus hurls the serpent satan to the earth...." i can't remeber ever hearing the word "about" and 1914 placed together before in regards to this event.
are there any jwapologists, or anyone else for that matter, who have an explanation for this?.

Satan and his demons are cast down to the vicinity of the earth at the time the Kingdom is born (Rev. 12). This occurred after the 911 attacks and not any sooner. The war in The Middle East is the beginning of the fulfillment of the final prophecies in the bible. Compare world events to the scriptures and it will make sense.......

The story as widely known has been filled out through various (Christian) interpretations. For example, nowhere does the text itself tell us what the forbidden fruit was. In early Christian tradition it was generally understood as an apple, whereas early Jewish tradition offered several opinions as to the fruit's identity, with the fig being the most popular—and contextually the most appropriate (see especially Gen. 3:7). Well let us reason upon this for a minute. The tree of knowledge (as I have spoken of prior), is not a literal tree because no where in existence is a tree that grows knowledge. Let's compare the fruit (forbidden) to the "fruitage of the spirt". How do we know what they are if not by what we read in the bible? We obtain Godly knowledge by reading the scriptures and learning his Laws. We learn good and evil by what we see from others, and by what we might engage in ourselves. The "forbidden" fruit is wickedness, or sin. Makes sense, does it not?

even though they are christ's brothers and the new testament was written just for them, they have no say on how "jehovah's organazation" is run and the the things taught.

what Kings, if you look at Rev 5:10 in the actual greek, it does not say kings. And if you look closer the scripture is describing the great crowd and not the 144k. Not to mention the 144k are never refered to as Anoited. [crazyguy]
I agree with you. I am referring to King David, Solomon, etc. etc.
The Hebrew verb mashach (noun, messiah ) and the Greek verb chrio (noun, christos ) are translated “to anoint.” From ancient times the priests and kings were ceremonially anointed as a sign of official appointment to office, and as a symbol of God's power upon them. The act was imbued with an element of awe. David would not harm King Saul because of the anointing the king had received ( 1 Samuel 24:6 ). Likewise, Israel ( Psalm 89:38 ), and even Cyrus ( Isaiah 45:1 ) are called God's anointed because of God's working through them. Israel came to see each succeeding king as God's anointed one, the messiah who would deliver them from their enemies and establish the nation as God's presence on the earth.
Who anointed those claiming to be of the anointed within the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses? No one did, therefore they are not anointed. It is that simple........

Sanctify Gods name
by Crazyguy inok so thats what jesus said we must do, so the question at hand is, does going around the world telling people that gods name is jehovah does this really sanctify his name, really????
so if i went around my town and told every one that satans name is lucifer will this make satan holy?

Sanctify is to purify or make clean. GOD has been blamed for many things that His creation has done. The truth will be made known to all creation, which will make GOD clean and pure as He truly is.......
