  scarcity value is the economic factor that increases an items relative price based upon it's relatively low supply.. .

  toy makers and the apple corporation are masters at using this marketing tool.

  create artificial shortages of a toy before christmas or the latest ipad and consumers will physically fight over these products and pay what ever the asking price is just to get their hands on it.

  I asked an elder about the restrictions of pioneer and special pioneer meetings. He said the information they receive there is the same information we receive at meetings essentially. He compared it to a group of runners. Someone running a marathon. Everyone will run at a different pace and those that run harder will need more training. The pioneer meetings are there just as extra training to help those running more vigorously and want to push themselves harder.

  It's starting to look promising here in MN now. It's been above freezing so can't complain too much. Spring is desperately needed. This winter has been brutal.

  We had a demonstration of why it's unchristian to play laser tag. The reason is it is teaching us war and how to kill so true Christians shouldn't play that game. We also had a demonstration that porn is bad and should never be viewed.

  when the dust settles, it all comes down to blind faith in men's ever-changing ideas.

  this "unique belief" was not a "true teaching of the bible.

  Hello DOT,

  1) If JW's are to completely stay away from all forms of demonism, why do many JW's watch magical Disney movies?

  * Watching magic/demonism is NOT a matter of conscience.
  * There is no gray area when it comes to magic. It's always bad.

  2) Why is are JW's allowed to communicate with "worldly" People but not disfellowshipped ones? In other words: It's OK to talk to someone that may directly opposes JW's, but it's a wrongdoing to talk to someone that may have sincerely tried to live by Bible standards but failed to do so.

  * If the answer is because it is a loving correction, then that would indicate that the disfellowshipped persons objective is to regain friendships not with God but with people/family. How does that prove that person is genuinely trying to regain Jehovah's favor? A real test would be to allow the disfellowshipped person to talk to whomever he/she wishes and see if he/she STILL returns to serving Jehovah
  * If the answer is to protect the congregation then why are "worldly" people allowed in to talk to whomever they wish?
  * If someone chose to leave the "truth" because of associating with a disfellowshipped person, then did that person really care to serve Jehovah in the 1st place?

  3) Why are JW's allowed to take blood fractions but not be a blood donor?

  *It's ok to take take take take, but when it comes to giving, ooooh no siree Bob we can't do that. I wonder where those blood fractions came from buddy…

  4) Why is there an hourly requirement to join the "Pioneer Ranks?"

  * If the answer is well you get better the more you spend time doing something, then why is there a 30 hour requirement during special campaigns?

  * I have not seen any proof/test results that indicate 70 hours a month is required for an average person to become good at distributing magazines.

  * No Bible characters put emphasis on a designated amount of hours to reach.

  It’s definitely the original. I believe in the 1st demonstration it shows everything the elder did wrong. After that there was probably a discussion to review what was wrong with what he did. Then the 2nd time it shows the correct procedures to follow. Always go in two's, and be sympathetic and use the bible, blah blah blah.

  The chaperoning policy is complete garbage. You are prohibited from being alone with your other bf/gf unless brother Judgmental is there keeping an eye on you two. Such utter nonsense...

  Also the fact that everyone gets married by the time their 18 so they can have sex without getting df'd is rather silly.

  Then you have the old 40 year old zealous creeps trying to swoops in on the action with kids that are not even 21 yet. I get sick of just thinking about it.
