I've got our evaporative cooler running...my neighbor helped me down from the roof as the fire department won't respond anymore. Seems like people having an acrophobia attack on the roof bother them somewhat. Especially if they're old ladies and scream a lot.

Thanks for the update, Francois. I didn't remember that Big Jon was played by Andy Devine, though I did recall that Sparky was a frog. Never got to enjoy the ending of the show as thats when I was dragged out of the house to go in the field service by mommy dearest

During the time when I was attending meetings, I kept all my worldly friends and interacted with them. After leaving the org. I still had my friends to hang out with. I had many acquaintences in the org. but no true friends so I didn't miss anyone when I walked away.
I guess they call this 'leading a double life' but I didn't care. I wouldn't let anyone dictate to me who to hang with and who to shun.

she understands a few words, really.. after repeating the words and the actions at the same time, they get to understand certain words.. does your pet understand a couple of words?
My 5 year old Cattledog understands many commands as she does Agility. She knows the words for all the obstacles as well as directional commands. I've never counted them up but I'm amazed every time we compete how well she understands.
She came to a screeching halt in one trial when I called a Tire a Tunnel. She actually stopped and looked around for the tunnel entrance. Thats one smart dog!
well i finally did it today, got to the dentist, they had to pull out 2 teeth and i'm in line for a "bridge" whatever that is...... my face feels sore, my head aches, and it feels like i got this huge crater in the back of my mouth......my dentist says its ok, i had too many teeth at the back anyway as my wisdom teeth have come through.
even still, i can't help but hate the dentist.
they always say the same thing..."pop yourself up on the chair" "this won't hurt" "you're gonna feel a bit of pressure here"..... and the classic "sit up and have a rinse now"....
Oh Scooby, I'll never go to England if they don't know what Vicodin is. Its the only pain killer and cough suppressant that doesn't cause me to toss my cookies. Generic form is hydrocodone bitartrate and Acetaminophen. Take 750mg and sleep a blissfull sleep all night long even if they pulled your teeth through your ears. Marvelous.

Hi Scooby...I empathize with you completely. Had to have a couple of teeth pulled a year ago and made sure that I had a prescription for Vicodin clutched in my hot little hand before he got to give me the shot. I'm such a wuss. He has to give me a shot to do a teeth cleaning!

my husband went into the hospital tuesday night with heart arrythmia.
he was given a shock treatment which lowered the heart rate considerably.
he had catherization done today which showed no arterial blockage.
Hi Blondie; What a scary experience. I hope everything works out well for you and Irreverent. Is this a kind of arrythmia that a pacemaker would correct? My husband had to have one as he had arrythmia and a-fib as well. He is doing well and says that the pacemaker saved his life.

If there is an article of interest that I'm alerted to on the TV news; I just read it in my neighbors paper.
I agree that the paper is mainly full of advertising and very little else.
my daughter lives out in the country, about a mile down in the woods.
her poodle get's picked on by the wild life out there.
a hawk was after it a few months ago and now a wild turky is chasing it.
Judging from the looks they get, do other dogs think poodles are some strange, alien creatures???
