  Hi Shauna; Glad you could tell your story. When I was involved with the congregation the lack of brotherly love was so evident. I thought it was only the congregation that I attended! Since coming to this forum I've found that it is one of the most common complaints about the JWs. Thanks for telling of your experiences. You confirm that this loveless cult has spread far and wide.

  Do YOU answer the door now?

  when i left the org the elders would come by at the most inopportune time at least every day sometimes twice.

  i never answered the door, i just continued doing whatever it was i was doing and ignored the pounding at the door knowing it ticked them off because they knew i was home.

  when the witnesses randomly come to my door now i still don't answer but have thought about it just to give them hell.

  Sure I answer the door. Its my door! Besides, it might be Publisher's Clearinghouse with a check for a million gazillion dollars. Wouldn't want to miss that.

  If its the dubs, I'll give 'em a million gazillion reasons to get away from my door.

  Hubby passed away this morning...

  i want to thank all those that helped and encouraged me in my hard times!..hubby passed away from his cancer this morning.

  i am so sad my heart is broken.

  we decided to go ahead and have a memorial for him this weekend at the kingdom hall he went to.

  A Growing Irritant

  more and more lately when i have occasion to read any of the society's publications or any postings here at this site which quote the society's publications i find more and more lately that i become really irritated, annoyed, chafing, at the redundant phrase "anointed christians.

  " it just irritates the hell out of me.

  i don't necessarily understand the "why" of this annoyance only that i recognize that i have it.

  Yes! Happifying used to bug me along with historicity. The one that still gags me is 'spiritual food'. The stuff they serve up is so empty its like.....ghost porridge.

  And if gluttony is a sin, why are we supposed to sit through endless servings of 'spiritual food' dumped before us at the assemblies and conventions?

  JW's ban BACON and SAUSAGE

  because of the folowing scripture (lev 3:17) the jehovahs witnesses have decided to take the other part of this scripture with sincere regard as they have the blood issue.

  and from now on jehovahs witnesses will be disfellowshopped for partaking any blood or blood by product and bacon, sausage and any meat containing fat!

  the governing body has decided that it is in good faith to regard the whole scripture in stead of half of it!

  Can you get an airfreshener with the aroma of bacon? What a great dub repellant! Just a little spritz as they're walking up to your door and they'll scurry away for fear of being contaminated. I gotta get some of that.
