If the USA went to war with Iraq solely for the oil, wouldn't it have been a lot easier the have the UN lift the sanctions? If there were no sanctions Saddam would have opened the spigots full bore until there was no more left and pocketed the money.

by Phil ini placed a thread titled medical care with so little response.
this surprised me very much as i thought that there were a lot of people who had inside information of this nature that would not normally be available to the general public.. my daughter, who is a resident in patterson has cancer and i was concerned if she would be getting the proper care i feel she deserves.
she told us recently that she will be totally covered for all medical expenses.

My daughter, who is a resident in Patterson has cancer and I was concerned if she would be getting the proper care I feel she deserves. She told us recently that she will be totally covered for all medical expenses. As you all know, the WTS practices the "Theocratic Warfare" which may force her to give out erroneous or incomplete information on this subject. Is there anyone who would have "inside" information on the subject, which would confirm or deny my assumptions.
Also, where is there information on the blood products that are acceptable to the WTS. I would like to have a stockpile of my blood stored for her use should it be needed. I do know that radiation therapy can sometimes affect the condition of a patients blood. I am researching that at the moment to find out if whole blood would be required.

Do Jw men treat wives as Christ treats the church?
by ellderwho in.
what has irked me lately is the way my mothers husband (elder bob) treats mom.
in typical jw fashion subserviant, always careful in speaking out of turn esspecially our weekly study( "bible study") er book study.. i have to find a way to work in the reference of treating wives the way christ treats the church and let elder bob stew on that, but being careful not to plant seeds of resentment, with mom.

Just to get the facts straight. The woman in this world is and always has been the main foundation of our society. Unfortunately, their role has been classed as something lowered to that of a worm. This has come about mainly by the women themselves and a little help from you know who. (JW) I believe that in a marrage two people are required to raise a family and the welfare of the children is paramount.

.I have heard a lot of useless information about the WTS having so much money with no definite answer from anyone. Why don't we make a concentrated effort to get concrete proof of what they are up to with names and addresses of these holdings. If there is a person that has access to the real estate data base this information can be obtained with all the information you would ever want to clarify this question. Perhaps the master of this web site can arrange to have a dedicated title to contain all this data. Lets do it people.

WOULD YOU GIVE THE JW'S THIS?
by integ ina jw relative brought out something i actually had to agree with.
we were discussing positive vs. negative aspects of the "truth".
she brought out that the witnesses do not participate in war, and i thought 'gee, that's probably a good thing'.

Regarding Frantic, desperate is the word.

Debate With The Governing Body
by Francois into my knowledge the governing body of the jws have not responded to my challenge to debate the proposition "jehovah's witnesses constitute a religious cult.".
i have said they wouldn't respond, and they won't.. for those of you who have a copy of "jehovah's witnesses in the divine purpose," let me suggest you read how the jws taunted mainstream religious leaders with their refusal to debate, claiming their refusal constituted tacit admission of the falsity of their religious practices and beliefs.. now the shoe is on the other foot.
and the governing body is hiding in the deepest precints of 114 adams street.

Who proposed this debate and is this proposal in a letter or news paper or something. I would like to get a copy of any publication or letter to the WTS, hopefully from the Catholic church or other recognized religious org.

Regarding not participating in wars, Who owns 50% of the Rand Energy Group Inc. that manufacture parts for smart bombs? This sounds hypocritical to me.

If your parents left everything to Watchtower, what could you legally do ?
by run dont walk in.
i'm sure this must happen, brother faithful and sister subjection, spend their whole life in jw land, have an average/good living, have three kids, both pass on, leave it all (or most) to the watchtower, would you have a case or any legal grounds in getting your money back.. definitely a case for johnny cochrane.. i'm a little worried my parents might do something this stupid.. any experiences or ideas .................

If you are thinking of the practical aspect of inheritances solely by what the money will buy,you folks are missing the boat. The knowledge that your mother and father are thinking of you is what counts the most. It would have been devstating if my parents had passed without saying or doing something. The money left in her will was insignificent if compared with the thought. I am sure my daughter couldn't care less about our feelings for her. I put it to her a while ago like this, she is sitting on the fence with the Watchtower on one side and her family on the other. She refused to distroy the fence so we would all live happily ever after. Through the Watchtower belief system she elected to go the way of the Watchtower, totally. She knows the door to our hearts is always open to her as long as we live. If she does not take advantage of the open door in our lifetime, the door will close when we die. I sincerely hope she can live with it.
In addition to my will, I have prepared letters to all the people I know who have had a significent impact in my life. These letters are to remind these people of the love I have held for them while I was alive. I am sure they will all appreciate my concerns for our relationship.
