i was recently appointed an elder, about 6 months ago now, and that is exactly two years after my awakenning, but funny that the appointment came also about 2 years after i had completely lost all faith in god and had been leading a full time anti-jw life .

The sheeple will stay shackled until they open their eyes. Harshness MAY work get some to open their eyes to the Borg, but is it worth it considering the negative affects? It seems that everyone on this site disagrees with you on this point. Many of us were also elders, so it isn't like we don't understand. Most of what you say has credibility; this part doesn't. "Go and sin no more" is where all of us think you should be right now. You have time to re-direct. If you are an elder as you say, and if you are sick of the Borg as you say, be what they aren't, which is kind and gentle. By being harsh you are emulating the dark lords in the Dark Tower.

JCs often cause depression, family problems, etc. If you are an elder you know these things. Why do you not think that treating the sheeple, including the DFed, kindly and gently and 'ignoring' the Borg's directives wouldn't be a better action? The sheeple aren't going to rise up against the Borg because of your - or anyone else's harshness. That will only send some spiralling into depression, anger, etc.. Some will try to follow the Borg's edicts re: reinstatement, reproof, getting 'privileges' back, etc., while some will meander through a very difficult time with who knows what at the end of it.
I would say change your tactics. Treat the sheeple kindly and gently. Ignore the Borg's advice and cloak it in "Jesus" land if you need.

You are correct in stating that you cannot effect change from within (near the bottom). It's good that you know what your limitations are, but blocking other elders is likely a temporary solution at best. Again, I don't understand setting up JCs for any reason. They are very stressful to the sheeple - and elders, requiring lots of time and emotional energy. I would suggest leaving them be. I'm trying not to judge you as others have, but I'm having a lot of trouble accepting all that you say.

Interesting philosphy. Once I became dis-illusioned as an elder (before the Internet was widely capable of exposing the Borg for what it is) and began to seriously question it and despise the old men in Brooklyn, I became very forgiving of the 'friends' for their transgressions. I looked at Dfed individuals differently and could barely get excited about the run of the mill 'transgressions" in the congregation, which were typically 'fornicaton' of some kind (I hate that word). I'm glad that you have a governor on your actions as it applies to DFing, but I'm surprised your enlightenment re: the Borg and the Dark Tower aren't driving you to be kind and gentle to the sheeple.

I think most are agreeing with you; I certainly am. My point is contextually two young women partaking is violating Borg 'rules.' But I'm a strong proponent of violating all of their dumbass controllling rules. I'm with these young women. But I'm also an atheist and don't really care about this weird tradition. I do care about the decent people left inside the hive.

Welcome. I'm with the others; I couldn't fake it. It's a shame you can't be like the Star Trek episode where The Enterprise discovers a wrecked Borg scout ship with a single survivor: a young Borg drone.
La Forge and Data devised a method to use the captive Borg to destroy the Collective: a geometric formula that is unsolvable, which they plan to show to Hugh (they gave the Borg a name) for analysis. (The theory is that if Hugh views the formula and then returns to the collective, it will spread throughout every drone in the entire race and act like a computer virus - causing a catastrophic system failure, essentially wiping out the Borg species.)

Rub - agree. Pistoff - delusonal in the sense of all things Borgian and knowing (one would assume since they are indicated to be pioneers) the 'rules.' Not delusional from an external non-Borgian perspective I would agree.

Since they are pioneers, it wouldn't seem that their partaking would be based on rebellious feelings toward the Borg, even given their ages. Pioneering is a royal pain in the ass, and anyone going that route wouldn't typically fit the rebel. I would lean with Witness on this one; they are likely very close to one another, probably emotionally immature and completely full of themselves with their 'spirituality'. A bit delusional. Kinda like the GB. But they seriously aren't playing by the rules. Good for them! I like these young women!!!
