  The years after my post-Borg experience, when I was trying to figure things out both on a personal and existential level, and after reading and studying all of the major philosophies in the world, I came to one conclusion. The most powerful forces in the universe are personal accountability and personal responsibility.

  Nothing is more powerful. And because of that discovery (practiced successfully BTW by some of the great leaders of our day including the head coach of the NE Patriots), leaving behind theism and any belief in god was so much easier.

  I control my destiny and fate. Even if problems arise or barriers get in the way, the only thing that eventually matters is what I choose to do with the problems and how I choose to solve them - with my own energy, resources and intelligence. Rarely if ever can any of us control others or our environment, but we can control our preparation and response, rather than tepidly, flaccidly and passively waiting on some imaginary being to solve our problems. That mindset, a religious mindset, keeps the human species from evolving and advancing, and it is counter-intuitive and runs completely opposite of your drivel.

  I can likely thank the Dark Lords in part for helping me to that conclusion, and I will never ever again allow anyone or any institution to control me or take away that power, including imaginary deities.

  Those are the best lessons any father or leader can pass along. Religion and a belief in deities are the opiate of the masses, ensuring we will remain barely above our sub-human primate cousins, happily partaking of its mind numbing drug inducing effects, until the damaging cycle is broken.

  What you preach and espouse is nothing but a trap to keep us at the lower rungs of the evolutionary ladder. As I've pointed out before, Believing or Faith is the second lowest rung of the five rungs, barely ahead of Feeling and way, way behind Thinking, Knowing and Proving (the Evidence based). You and those like you would keep us trapped at the bottom of the evolutionary ladder forever.

  You are correct about two things. Religious people typically aren't smart, and i don't believe this is you. Where are the rest of the Supremes? But I am starting to like you a bit more. Geesh.   Charlie,

  You are nearing the point of becoming the looniest tune yet, and we have had a LOT of looney tunes. I did like your attempt at humor by showing the picture of the African American woman though; there is hope in you yet! And thank you again for confirming all that I have said about you since about page 2. Each time you approach the keyboard you make my job here easier and easier.

  Why you annoy me:

  I was more or less a born-in to the Borg. Like everyone else on this site, I was fooled and controlled for a long time by undereducated men with little more than a high school education, just like you Charlie.

  These were all white men with essentially the same N. European DNA, just like you Charlie.

  Their claim to the power they held was because, like you Charlie, they had special knowledge not available to the rest of us.

  Like you, Charlie, they had the correct interpretation of bible prophecy when all who had come before them had failed. Every one of their prophecies failed. Just like yours will, Charlie.

  Like you, Charlie, they claim a close, personal relationship with make believe gods – a relationship not available to the rest of you as you have pointed out.

  Like you, Charlie, they sought to elevate themselves above everyone else by pontificating their special knowledge and judgments. They and they alone have the keys to salvation.

  And like you, Charlie, they are deserving of our ridicule and exposing them for what they are – Delusional Narcissists and Charlatans of the highest order.

  Believe. Please. But keep your narcissistic, special knowledge and very close personal relationship to fairy tale make believe deities to yourself. Or prepare to experience exactly what you have experienced with this OP by the rational, analytical, evidence based and those who have had their lives altered and harmed by the very men you emulate and seek to replace.

  Hiding behind your Uriah Heep humility, when you have shown yourself to be arrogant and self important, is another reason you annoy me.
