Dear god,
The blame shifting, excuse making, rationalizing and justifying some of you are providing as legitimate reasons for women to withhold sex is not part of the reason it is a problem. It's the reason.
Find a different method.

Steve,
Historically speaking you are of course correct. I've never owned a woman, hit a woman, oppressed a woman, abused or neglected a woman. I've never gotten their underwear off by telling them lies, manipulating them, promising them something or by any other nefarious manner. I have treated every woman I've ever been with, with respect - and certainly as much respect as they have shown me.
Having said that, I have experienced what these men have stated they are experiencing. Your posts are usually brilliant; this one isn't. How many women have you dated or been with Steve2? LisaRose? I speak from experience as well as citing experts who say the same thing - using sex as a weapon is the worst thing a woman can do.
We aren't talking about the socio-evolutionary reasons women evolved as they have; we are talking about a hurtful, relationship destroying behavior practiced by a lot of women, none of which is typically justified.
Let's call it for what it is, class. It is relationship destroying behavior.

GTTM,
As Steve2 and LisaRose and others have pointed out, do your job as a loving, respectful mate. None of you have suggested that you aren't.
If you are, and she is still behaving in this manner and you have tried to discuss it with her, quickly and quietly go to the best lawyer you can find and arrange a better situation.
Top marriage and relationship expert Dr. Tseday Aberra, a clinical psychologist, states that using sex as a weapon is the biggest mistake a woman can make. Find another way to solve the problem, she states. She also states that most women who have come to her over the years have used sex as a weapon against their husbands/BFs. She also states that it is critical for women to change their way of thinking in this area.
Or p.m. me; I have a lot of experience in this area. Women use sex as a weapon because they can. That’s all you need to know. You can do everything damn near perfect and a sizeable percentage of women will still do it. Those are the facts, and they are indisputable.
i believe anyone who has voluntarily left a cult has shown they can adapt to new solutions, and have used " critical thinking" skills otherwise most would not have left.. yet i believe a safe place for support is still needed and this safe place i believe is searched for.. now i may not measure up to much in ways of education, but for me personally " critical thinking skills" = " new" a " new" way of thinking, that takes time for me the individual to be visual and to contemplate.
and the more i read about " critical thinking," the more convinced i am that i can live with the ridicule of those that claim i do not possess it.
furthermore i would say those that criticise others " critical thinking skills," often luck the sensibility and thoughts to snore, spit, and fart....nor would they understand a room full of tobacco smoke and cheap booze...where " critical thinking " can often be found in its most profound, in the most sensitive poems and "pictures" that were ever drawn.
Rebel, et al make some valid points. Respect is a 2-way street. I promise to be less of a wise ass if some of you all promise to do the following:
Respect debating – Nearly any OP can turn into a debate, and debating is essentially about 2 things – Facts and the Correct Interpretation of those Facts. Anything other than that is a tactic or strategy employed by someone on the losing side of the Facts but trying to ‘win’ points. A taxi driver’s opinion about the lunar landings, for example, should never ever be considered as equal to an astro-physicist’s, unless you can show a compelling reason.
Respect the Topic – If you can’t provide anything useful, avoid typing into the keyboard. Even better, conduct some very good research using the best empirical data you can find on the subject before posting. Understand as much of a 360 degree approach on the topic as possible before posting. And please, stop posting confirmationally biased tripe to support your lame-ass views and opinions. Become an empiricist.
Respect the freedom, access and privileges the www has provided you. Employ the Peter Parker Principle – with great power comes great responsibility.
Respect the Lurkers and Members – If you can’t provide empirical data or something close to it to support your views, frame it as an opinion. If you reach a dead end, stop posting, exercise self control, and stop wasting everyone’s time in your vain, narcissistic attempt to win an argument that you have lost.

Are the children grown and on their own? If so, see a lawyer ASAP, get your ducks in a row and Make a New Plan, Stan.

"When I first started waking up my wife threatened no sex." Ms. GTTM is withholding sex as punishment. I call those ex-wives or ex-GFs. Now it's B4Right's and Driving Force's wives. They are wicked people; they just happen to control 100% of your sex lives. Let yourselves be emasculated. Internalize the hurt and pain. Remove your manhood and put it on the shelf. Cuckold yourself.
Not me. Not ever.

Is the marriage worth saving? Do you really want to save it? If so, try the advice given. Either way, go with her to counseling, but don't expect it to help. In the meantime, quietly meet with a lawyer and begin preparing an exit.
If she doesn't change this behavior, and it is relationship destroying behavior (assuming there aren't things you aren't telling us), make an exit. The longer you remain in this and allow her to emasculate you and hurt you in this very important area, the more you will begin to hate her. Based on only what you have told us, she isn't worth keeping.
She doesn't need that; you don't need that. Get your ducks in a row. Do nothing wrong in the meantime.
while many think that the ruling is good for the gays and their response is: how does that affect your marriage; then on the other side the religious people cry god and sinners.
but both are missing the forest through the trees.. the problem with the ruling is that which is discussed here so many times.
five unelected federal officials decided on policy for the whole country, running roughshod over every democratic principle.
Rat-Again,
I want to thank you for one thing. Had it not been for your quoting Robert's dissenting opinion, I would have never read it in its entirety. I'm not alone in believing it is one of the worst, most subjective and biased dissenting opinions ever written.
Roberts is clearly suffering from AOWM syndrome. His dissent, which reads more like a fundie tirade, is sprinkled with specious statements, assertions and views that I would expect to read on this site - not from an esteemed, experience judge sitting on the SCOTUS. It reads like someone angry that society is changing, they don't like the changes and hate that their influence is waning.
100 years from now law schools will use his dissenting whine as a case example of the bigotry that flourished in this country, even at its highest levels, in the 20th and 21st Centuries. Roberts picture will be alongside the Grand Dragons of the KKK and their ilk in the 22nd century version of a textbook. Roberts should be embarrassed.

Rat Again,
WTF did you just type about bood?
Abortion, having the right to ride the same bus or drink from the same water fountain as others whiter than you, disabilities and lots of other things also aren't mentioned in the Constitution, but the SCOTUS has made rulings on them. References to slavery were included in the Constitution as a political necessity to get the S states to ratify, which is why an amendment was required to negate that.
The more you post the more irrational and hateful you show yourself to be.
The SCOTUS exits to ensure fair treatment of all citizens based on the stated and unstated intentions of the Constitution, as interpreted by the men and women who comprise the SCOTUS at any given time (another issue you are struggling with).
The framers could not have possibly included everything that might evolve over the centuries, which the majority opinion stated and which Roberts and the other 3 dissenters CLEARLY UNDERSTAND AS THE REASON THEY HAVE THE JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE.
And replace 'marriage or 'same sex marriage' with 'slavery' and Roberts' dissenting statement would have been as equally valid, which means not valid at all. Roberts' statement: “If same-sex marriage, then polygamy” has to be one of the lamest, most fundie, reactionary statements ever. If, at some time in the future polygamy is A-Ok with US society and the SCOTUS, WTF difference does that make to him or you, other than the need to develop the legal structure to deal with divorces, etc. Polygamy and ss marriage are RELIGIOUS constructs or the constructs of societies long passed that were trying to evolve out of caves and clans.
You need professional help.

You've made some excellent posts recently. Thank you.
