Reason's why it is so difficult to leave

Some see barriers where others see opportunities. The barriers typically are imaginary. The opportunities are real. I left the DarkTower and the oppressive control of the DarkLords over 2 decades ago. I've never looked back. You may lose some family relationships; otherwise, everything else you've posted is completely and entirely up to you.

Make new friends. Behave yourself. You don't need a religion of any kind to do that. Make good decisions. You don't need a religion of any kind to do that.

If you are so weak and pathetic that you can't: make new friends; behave yourself; and make good decisions without the control of the DarkLords then stay. By all means stay.

But the barriers are all between your left ear and your right ear. If you set sail at full speed for the horizon, you won't fall off the edge of the world.

Luck hasn't anything to do with it. And yes, it is working, quite splendidly I might add. The more secular/atheist a person, state, region or nation the more likely they are to be functional. And educated. And intelligent. We've cited empirical data illustrating this for the 3 years I've been on this site. The data is overwhelming, and it comes from multiple sources - so there isn't an atheist 'conspiracy' to suggest theists are pathetic because they can't behave without the threat of being punished or rewarded by a nonexistent entity. Of course, many theists can't. But atheists don't seem to have that problem. You have probably seen the data; you can't provide anything to refute it or in support of your premise that, without god, people will misbehave.

You know better, but it irks you to admit it. So you post the same lame, erroneous statements about atheists that I saw a lot of 3 years ago but don't often see anymore. Except for the truly entrenched such as yourself. Or the newbies, which you aren't. When it comes to your bona fides, why are you holding out? Send them to Simon; he can vouch for them. I've stated my bona fides a few times - always consistently and absolutely prepared to show proof anytime someone wants to see them. That you no longer think they are important suggests you don't have them, as others have stated. Put up or shut up.

You come across as an angry, uneducated white man who is suffering from angry old white male syndrome. You probably railed at seeing your white world challenged by people of color gaining prominence, by the LGBT community finally receiving the respect it deserved, and now your last bastion of hope - your theism, is being brought to its knees. Deservedly. And you are impotent to do anything about it other than make broad stroked, knowingly erroneous statements about atheists and the secular. But you are too proud to admit that the world, once your deities are finally vanquished forever, will be a better place. A much, much better place.

I find that disgusting. I view you as a Dead Man Walking. A T-Rex on its last legs. And that is most excellent.

Defending deep? So that's what you call refusing to actually engage in the competition. The flailing, falling, fooling, fouling, feigning and fainting kinda sorta go hand in hand with 'defending deep.' Plant a bunch of pudgies in front of the goal and hope for enough penalty kicks to win or tie.

I went to see Suicide Squad last week. The reviews had been very negative, but I figured for summertime escapism why not. It was horrid. Truly horrid. (But I did get a new moniker for Jesus - Daddy's Lil' Monster).

And the annoying thing is that they had a cool premise and a gorgeous interesting cast. Will Smith, Margo Robbie (YUM), Jared Leto (YUM, I mean, Mr. Leto is a very nice looking young man), et al.

I left the theatre thinking to myself that there was a great movie in those 2 hours of messed up nonsense. They just didn't make it.

That's exactly how I feel after every soccer match I've ever watched.

I'm not so sure the local pub team couldn't hold its own. It's soccer, after all. Just a week ago a team of short, over weight amateurs held the best distaff team in the world at that time to a draw. Of course, they played defense the entire time, firmly planting 11 pudgy little bodies squarely in front of the goal for 90 minutes. I believe they were called the Colombian Olympic Women's Soccer Team.

The strategy was so successful that the Swedish women's team copied it to perfection a few days later to earn a (NOT) hard fought win between the best women's soccer team in the world - up to that time. It seems that feigning, fainting, falling, flailing, flopping - and doing nothing but planting a lot of human flesh in front of the money maker - are tactics, at least in soccer, that can prove effective against the most powerful opponent. So there is hope for the pub squad. At least in soccer.

Now if you had selected American football . . . . (or any other REAL sport that requires offense and defense where they actually have a chance to score)

i was in a relation with a jw girl for almost three years(im am not jw) and we are so inlove with each other until someone saw us from her congregation and she was disfellowed and that where the oddness happened.

her family and friends are not talking to her anymore, she wants me to stop seeing and talking to her anymore not until i became a baptized jw.

As others have noted, every few weeks someone in the same position as you shows up on this site looking for the same assistance. Based on what you tell us about Little Ms. Can't Be Wrong, she has been Dishonest with you. Selfish and Manipulative. Her current plan to get you to study and be baptized in the cult or the relationship is off is emotional blackmail of the highest order, and a continuation of the trifecta of vileness she has consistently shown: Selfish. Dishonest. Manipulative.

I've known a lot of dub girls in similar situation who took their dub DFing punishment, got married to the non-Dub guy and gradually worked their way back into favor and reinstatement into the cult. Without 'requiring' or blackmailing the non-dub man. Little Ms. Can't Be Wrong apparently doesn't view that as an option.

Isn't that special.

There does not appear to be any redeeming values with this woman, with or without the cult's influence. I take exception with those who would blame shift her black personality traits on to the cult. She owns them. They belong to her. Making excuses for this wretched person will only keep you in her grips.

Woman's Purpose

i'm probably going to say some things here that will disappoint many.

there are some that may look back over the years and say "man i really blew it" i'm not writing the following to scold for failures, but rather to help those who are young enough to put into practice what god wills for their life, and also to those of us who are in our middle years that still have time to change some things, in order to please god and find a peace that only being in his will can bring.

first let me say that god didn't create man for you.
