Of course I was a dub. I have clearly explained why I'm here after 20 years out of that cult and away from religion. Why are you here? You paint your catholicism as if it is a kinder and gentler x-tian cult. As a snapshot in time it has evolved to some degree to be more tolerant. But it has a long and inglorious history. So you represent every much of a cult mind controlled religion as the dubs; you're just a generation or two removed from the really horrific parts. Need I remind you? If I had to compare the dubs with the catholics and included recent and not so recent history, you don't come off looking so well.

Why are you here? What are you selling? What type of influence are you peddling? Are you trying to get converts? Do you think a site of ex-dubs is fertile hunting grounds, as so many theists before you?

Why are you here?

Do you know what I did for 20 years? Or anything else about me? And why do you take affront by those who propose a way of living and making decisions based on rational thought, evidence and facts?

I couldn't care less if you're a theist or not. I've spent the past 20 plus years living an evidence based life, without the influence of religion.

Facts, Evidence and Rational Thought are the only things I'm 'selling.'

They are anathema to theists, so I'm not surprised you don't want any of that.

Now let's see if amongst the multitude of words you use you can avoid saying again that you're not buying something.

You theists have had your era, and it is coming to an end because it has caused so much death, destruction and divisiveness.

In response to your statement about 'scars', etc.: I was out of the DarkTower for 20 years before joining any ex-dub site; I joined this one 3 years ago. I had no real presumptions about this site, as I had spent 2 decades living life to the full and not giving the DarkLords much thought. However, I was amazed at how many theists routinely made definitive statements that atheists were immoral, murderous, fornicators since they did not believe in god (not god, really but THEIR god).

I don't speak for the rest of the atheists, but THIS atheist grew tired very quickly of the theists (and when I say theists I mean Jah and Daddy's Lil' Monster (Jesus)) who made these statements. I always refute these ridiculous assertions and accusations with empirical evidence, but the theists don't like empirical evidence; it hurts their tiny little brains and their feelings.

So after posting irrefutable empirical evidence that clearly shows the more atheistic and secular an individual, state, nation or region the more likely they are functional, ethical and moral - and having theists ignore it and continue with their accusations - I push back with sarcasm and biting wit, including mocking and humiliation when necessary. Those tactics work; it shuts the theist the fuck up up for a while, at least until another one comes along in a few days and says the same things.

devon and cornwall police have said a leaflet posted through doors in north devon isn't a crime – despite it advising gay people to "control their urges".the leaflet, entitled "how to harness your habits", was distributed in north devon by jehovah's witnesses and contains an article asking "what does the bible say about homosexuality?

"in it, the religious group states that "rejecting homosexuality" is completely different to "rejecting people of a different skin colour" and says their views are the same as people who "view smoking as harmful and even repugnant".it also compares gay people to animals, but says "unlike animals, they can choose not to act on their impulses".the journal was contacted by a reader, who wishes to remain anonymous, who felt "belittled" by the leaflet.

when i first met my wife and on that so important first date i was 21 years old and sadly broke, she was an 18 year old au pair.

any way i treated her to mcdonald's but she had to pay for the meal.

now over 20 years later and still together, i realize how lucky i was she didn't say on that first date " if you can't afford to pay "our" mcdonald's meal f...off" .

according to a study presented by the American Sociological Association, after surveying 17,061 unmarried and heterosexual men and women in 2013, the study found that men want women to pay for dates from time to time. However, they are often afraid to say so.

"The specifics stated that 84 percent of men and 58 percent of women said that in their dating situations, men paid for most dating expenses. (I will interject here that many of the 58 % of women in this study are liars, as it is more likely matches the 84% of men). About 39 percent of women hoped that guys would not ask them to chip in, and in fact, were bothered when men “expected” them to contribute. However, 64 percent of men felt that a woman should pick up the tab sometimes, but 76 percent said they felt “guilty” if they made their wishes for shared responsibilities known. Still, a surprising 44 percent of men said they would STOP seeing a woman who never tried to pay for dates."

I am an expert on this issue. The vast majority of US women never offer to pay for dates. There are generational differences. Baby Boomers will rarely if ever pay, while Gen-Xers will at times offer and Millennials more likely to offer. And yes I have broken off with women who never offer; it has become a metric for me. These women are also typically selfish in other ways, which explains why I've been single for 22 years.

Other studies suggest that most men want and expect to pay for the first few days but expect a woman to at least offer after the 3rd or 4th date. My current GF is by far the most generous, and in every way. She offered to pay from the beginning.

She is also from India.
