Inappropriate Behavior

now i know i am getting older or of the older generation.

i have had a very strange day with a lot of strange dealings with people with strange behavior today but this one incident was just over the top.

so i came out of a store in a busy shopping center.

Ms. Narrow Minded (rebelfighter) meet Ms. Judgmental (Tiki). Dear god, "Inappropriate Behavior" is one of the tools used by the DarkLords to control us and have us judged by one another to keep us in line.

I've got an antidote for that: Don't look. Keep your eyes - and your narrow mindedness - to yourselves. Such unpleasant little minded people.

Like Chook said, in many areas of the world it is common for people to arrive at public beaches, strip naked and put their swim suits on. Or not. I've been to beaches in Europe, the Caribbean where this occurs routinely and women without their tops is no big deal. Unless it was my ex-GF (and yes they were real. Expensive).

because it was aimed at young people and it said something along the lines, "if you believe in god you have a purpose, but if you don't believe in god your life has no purpose or meaning".

i think that is a faulty analysis of the situation.

currently there is a measles outbreak in the u.s. the outbreak is clustered into communities where parents choose not to get their children vaccinated.

vaccination works primarily on herd immunity.

Miami (AFP) - Measles has been eradicated from the Americas after decades of vaccination efforts, the world's first region to rid itself of the highly contagious disease, global health authorities said Tuesday.

Measles remains a top killer of children worldwide, and took nearly 115,000 lives in 2014 -- or about 13 deaths every hour -- according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

Before vaccination became widespread around the globe, measles killed about 2.6 million people per year.

"Endemic transmission of measles has been eliminated from the region," said WHO director Margaret Chan.

"The Americas region has shown that with strong national immunization programs... dedicated financing and strong political commitment and partner support, measles can be stopped," she added, describing it as "an outstanding achievement."

Measles is now the fifth vaccine-preventable disease to be eliminated in the Americas, after smallpox, polio, rubella and congenital rubella syndrome, according to the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

I'm just glad Looter showed up again. I was hoping my presence would be a disturbance in his 'force.' And also in that Lucas/Jedi Knight/Star Wars thing-ey. I'm not on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumbler or any other social media, so this is the only place I can get followers. Looter had me worried there for a few days.

Nice to know I still 'got it.'

We're being too hard on Looter. With his after school job, I mean his part-time job he uses to supplement his Social Security retirement income, he has to be stressed. At least he can be thankful Walmart reversed course and started hiring greeters again.

Looter is keeping our prices low so that we can save money, live better. And he's protecting all of that Chinese stuff from going walk-about. I mean Inventory.

I for one thank him.

I don't know any atheists who have stated there is proof a god doesn't exist. Saying there is no evidence of a god is not the same as saying there is proof. And saying a loving, caring creator as presented by x tians cannot exist is also not saying there is proof that a god doesn't exist.

But you already know that.

OTOH, billions of theists will tell you there is proof god exists. Cause they feel it, want it, desire it, need it.

Yeah, as I stated. Spin and the old "god will fix things in the end" nonsense. You DO know that all of these postulations of yours, JM, are nothing but made up fanciful conjecture designed to make religious beliefs somehow make sense in the face of the overwhelming evidence against it, don't you?

Just because they have emanated from old men with a bit of education and credentials does not make them any less fanciful.

We have heard all this stuff before. Ad nauseam. Continuing to believe it makes as much sense as believing in VIv's Unicorn Sparkle goddess.
