Captain Schmideo2,
You are my hero. Your statement can be applied to nearly every OP:

Captain Schmideo2,
You are my hero. Your statement can be applied to nearly every OP:
music and art have been a big part of my life since i was a little boy, and although i was never able to play a decent guitar, i can paint.
my art teacher from college said " i was the most imaginative and constructive pupil she had ever had.
" i loved that comment, because in translation i realised it meant i had to work harder than other more naturally talented students, but the effort was always worth it.
My rational self would state that the only things I need are air, water, food and protection from the elements. And girl parts. Having said that, yes, art and music are very important to me. The attached picture is Karma Room, where I start each of my days with coffee and reflection. Karma Room is full of art that brings me quiet and peace.
If not for Karma Room I would likely be a serial killer . . .
Of conspiracy theorists. Just kidding. Rebel, you are growing on me. Sorta like a fungus.
that's what i suspect.. perhaps some of us retrained our brains to not surrender to a natural urge to believe the simplest, most drama-laden spins on facts.. examples (at least i think this is the truth!):.

Theorists,
You DO mean to hijack this thread, so stop the bullshitting.
The following links were provided to me by Alison Van Eenennaam, PhD, with the following comments copied from her email.
"It is not that I “believe” that GMOs, at least those introduced to the marketplace and included in my research, are as safe as non-genetically modified food - it is what the data say. And that is why the scientific societies support the consensus of data.

doesn't it seem strange that the bible never mentions the pyramids?
how could someone go to egypt at that time and not even so much as mention the huge monuments?
it feels so good to be free from the jdub cult!

Macys,
Welcome to the forum!! You bring a much-needed rush of fresh air to this musty ole place, and I believe we can learn more from you than you from us.
my wife is shunning me.
she is always in cult mode, we don't talk anymore, we don't sleep in the same bed.
i have been sleeping on the couch.
Get a lawyer, one that specializes in divorce. Make preparations and protect your interests. Separate your financial accounts and interests. Now. Begin eating healthy - lean proteins, fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, etc., and join a gym - work out 3 or 4 times per week. You need heavy resistance exercises. PM me if you want a very good plan.
Get a great haircut; buy some very nice clothes. Move your 'bedroom' off the damn couch and either back into your bedroom or make another bedroom in your house that is your place.
Other axioms: What's love got to do with it - the only thing you two seem to have in common is that you are both in love with her.
People will only treat you in the manner in which you allow, and you are allowing her all of the control and to treat you with a complete lack of respect and honor. If you continue to allow that type of treatment then you are getting exactly what you deserve. People will let you own as much of their dysfunction as you are willing to own. The DubWorld is 100% dysfunction and your wife is 100% Dub. Stop whining about how bad it is and how the Dark Lords have taken everything from you and do something about it.
Hop on the bus, Gus. Grow a pair. Be a man. Be the man.
who won, and why?.
the rebel..
@Viv: "We are Legion." Does that mean FMF can also call Cofty Pumpkin?
i was recently writing to someone on the fractal future forum.
he came across as a very intelligent person, but i noticed that a post of his about medicine showed that he seemed to lack a lot of knowledge about medical testing and the scientific method.
so, i asked him some questions, and his reply seemed to contain a logical fallacy in every sentence, concluding with a quote from mercola.com, one of those really dodgy conspiracy theory / anti-science type of sites.
LostHobbit,
First of all I have to say that I'm a Tolkien fan, big time. Second, I have to say that I have an intense dislike of conspiracy theorists. Having said that, you have entered a site where conspiracy theorists are every-effing-where. Good luck. There are so many of them that at times I feel like a lone zombie slayer in a "B" movie, having just exhausted my ammo and broken my Louisville slugger. Surrounded, at least for a while!!
Seriously, when the theorists aren't conspiratorial they are good folk. Welcome back, from There and Back Again.
when i joined this forum i was seeking more people who felt the same way i did in terms of seeing the jehovah's witness organization for what it truly was; a false prophet.. once i found like-minded members i slowly started to open up and participate more in trying to help others that were also exiting mentally and physically.
today, i offer support to anyone who desires it regardless of what they believe or not believe.. so what is your purpose on this board?.
support?
Tenacious,
I try not to have any beliefs. Beliefs are for Feelers, Perceivers and the Confirmationally Biased, which is the primary reason I don't belong.
But thank you. Again, great OP.
