  You started the disrespect. Don't bring a knife to a gun fight. You are getting exactly what you deserve. You judged all atheists to your hell. I make fun of you; you judge hundreds of millions of decent, honest people of integrity to a horrific, painful, everlasting death. Um, can't you see a bit of a difference here, Looter?

  Funny how that bit of information seems lost on you. I've given you multiple opportunities to admit you were wrong, and all you continue to do is reframe and rephrase your condemnation for atheists. And now you are angry at me because I lump your god with Santa and Batman. Too bad, Looter, Too, too bad.

  I wish you really would 'have it up to here' and stop forcing your god down our throats. That would be most excellent.

  I don't have to take my time; I've made my point clear from my first post. You made definitive, pejorative, broad brushed statements about how vile atheists are. None of what you posted is true. You are a liar and a typical lazy brained theist. When pressed to provide actual evidence, you resort to the bible/god stick of condemnation and destruction that your lovely god has planned for people like me or citing quotes from other like minded brain dead emotion driven theists. As if that is supposed to make me quake in fear and fall down and do obeisance.

  You can't support anything you have said with evidence. I provided significant evidence that clearly refutes the statements you have made. Continuing to hit me with the condemnation stick makes you look really bad.

  But keep it up. Each time you post you make it more clear as to the differences between theists and atheists.

  I don't hate god, just as I don't hate Santa, The Green Hornet or the Tooth Fairy.

  I love mocking you because you deserve it. You started it with your broad brushed condemnation of all atheists.

  There is a big difference. She IS imaginary to me, and you can't change that. You judge me, which makes you the truly vile, vicious person acting without regret.

  Looter, repeat after me: DJS doesn't believe in god. He is making fun of her at Looter's expense because Looter set himself up to deserve it.

  I respect that you believe in god. You don't respect that I don't believe in god. I'm not the one posting OPs and making pejorative remarks about theists; you are. I would prefer that you keep your belief and love affair with your beloved to yourself. Get a room for Christ's sake. I do not respect that you find it necessary to impose your god on me and judge me in the process of doing so.

  Your god is an imaginary person to me; how can I possibly care about her? It's sorta like the Nerds on Big Bang Theory having a heated argument about the super power differences between Spider Man and Aqua Man. We laugh at it because it's funny and because Spidey and Aqua exist only in the pages of Stan Lee's vehicles and in the imaginations of young people. Well, and Nerds.

  If you stop making pejorative remarks about atheists that are completely untrue, I promise I will stop making fun of your make believe friends.

  So much bullshit so little time. Your quotes are the dumbest things yet you've posted in support of this very bad OP. Just because someone says something, Looter, doesn't mean it's true. Oh, I forgot, that's the definition of a theist.

  Emotion hasn't anything to do with not believing, believe it or not. And would you be equally upset if I made fun of Santa, the Easter Bunny, or SuperGirl? Because those 3 and others like them have as much of my consideration as god.

  I know it hurts your feelings that I mock your god. I don't care. Really, I don't.

  Hello. Newman. I mean Rat Again. Short time no smell!!!

  Actually that was one of the ideas my mind postulated on the way to becoming an atheist. It would make a great sci-fi film. Star Trek Beyond: In Search of the Dead Beat Dad, I Mean God.

  Such a dead beat god would not deserve our worship. He made us and then abandoned us. I can live with that. Makes sense to me.

  But where did our dead beat dad come from? What's he doing now? Die of old age? Liver failure? Moved to another universe with a trophy wife??

  let's be honest everyone has their limits, their breaking point.

  personally i try to remain placid when provoked, but on occasion i can loose it.

  the last time i lost it was when chelsea came to watford and some chelsea supporters had some how got tickets and were sitting in the home end.

  I know you all will find it hard to believe, but I rarely lose my temper. I do reserve it as an option for those who drive slow in the fast lane.

  There's a special place in hell for them.

  Oh, and at my Samsung Galaxy 5 that contines to do stuff completely of its own volition and won't behave. I think it's possessed.

  Volitional objections? What the fuck does that mean? A 'volitional' atheist is one who arrived at the conclusion that there is no god based on the lack of evidence of said god. They made up their own mind, hence, they acted on their own volition - no one coerced them and they weren't born that way, Gaga.

  It isn't an objection of any kind, Looter. It is a rational, thoughtful, reflective, analytical determination devoid of 'objections' or emotions of any kind. All atheists are volitional atheists, so your comment about the reasons why we are atheists (" (we) don't want god to be true because (we) don't want to submit (ourselves) to any authority that would restrict (our) most cherished freedoms" is targeting every atheist I know and every other atheist on the planet - and there are hundreds of millions of us.
  

  And it is a lie. The opposite, as I've pointed out, is true; the more religious a person, state, country or region the more likely it is to be dysfunctional. Those are the facts, and they are irrefutable.
  

  If you can find an atheist not meeting that description give me their contact information. We atheists don't put up with "Those who hold emotional objections to belief have usually been burned by believers and even Christians." Those aren't really atheists (and, Looter, I don't know any atheist that fits that description). And if we find out they are masquerading as atheists we convene a secret meeting of atheists and call the offender in, wherein we take back their Spock ears and refuse to respond to the offender's live long and prosper fist bump. That's pretty much it; we atheists are a humane sort. Oh yes, one more thing. If the apply for reinstatement (of their Spock ears and fist bump), they have to pass a test that includes hooking them up to a Q sensor and then show them pictures of jesus. If they show any emotional reaction they don't get their ears back. Or the fist bump.

  @ VIdiot, ScratchMe, Daniel, Worldling and TFA: Well done and excellent advice. I can't say I understand any of the hesitation other than family. And even that has a tipping point. The rest of it is screen clutter IMHO, a lack of spine and a lack of confidence in one's ability to thrive.

  If for one second I thought I needed the DarkLords for ANYTHING I would shoot myself. As for 'needing' xtianity or spirituality, again, I don't see what those have to do with the DarkLords or the DarkTower. Both are as far removed from either as you can get.

  Spiritual, as our dear friend Viv has pointed our many times, is a catch all phrase that can mean anything or nothing. To the dubs it means useless, worthless, meaningless works determined by a bunch of uneducated old men with control issues and as a gauge to judge. To me spiritual means nature, art, architecture, great wine, my family and my GF's ass.

  As for 'needing' one's religion: The two most misunderstood/confused words in the English language are Want and Need. The key to happiness and clarity of thought and action often depend on understanding the difference.

  I've tried to mute my responses, but OPs such as this make it difficult. LisaRose, Millie, Steve2 it's time to step in.
