What does the word "apostate" mean to you ?

i'm not asking for which dictionary definition you prefer, and i'm not looking for the borg's definition.

what i'm asking is what thought strikes you when you hear an xjw being called an "apostate".

that term makes me think.

To me an apostate was always someone who actively "preached" against the Witnesses. I guess that would make me one eh?

Dan, some of us never got to go trick or treating as children or open presents on Christmas morning. Some of didn't really have much of a childhood. I do dress up but only to go trick or treating with my son. He and I get dressed up, run around and get candy for him. To me it's just a fun way to spend time with my son doing something I never got to do myself. Although I can be immature sometimes I don't consider myself infantile. I think Halloween is a great holiday for all ages. No matter how old you get it's still fun to pretend to be someone (or something) else once in a while. Playing is what keeps us mentally youthful y'know?

Jim, I was an elder's daughter and PO's granddaughter. I got drug to all kinds of sheperding calls and what not. As the oldest child and grandchild I was very much taken under both of their wings and almost treated as if I was a future elder. Too bad they were actually grooming me to become an elder's wife.. Let me know if I can help in any way.

well it has been two years since brother quotes and i were reunited, i can't believe it!

at that time the site had around 18,000 visitors and now we have just passed 50,000 thanks to the watchtower and there publications!.

over the last year quotes has reformatted, added a few topics and the ability to translate in other languages and the link has been added to forums around the world on other sites.

i ran into my df'd, trying to get back into the dubs, uncle and my jw cousin the other day.

i was coming out of a movie theatre with my "worldly" girlfriend.

after a couple pleasantries we departed and they finished cleaning the theatre's windows .

My mom thinks I'm A, my dad thinks I'm B and the rest of my dub relatives probably see me as C. In acutality I'm none of the above but I'm sure that matters little to any of them.

New Job keeps me BUSY

well, as many of you have noted, i've not posted much over the last three weeks...i've started a new job here in the army that keeps me busy...working 12 to 15 hour days.

i work at the non-commissioned officer's academy as a small group leader for the advanced non-commissioned officer's course.

the career of every student that is in my class is in my hands...i can end the military career of a student with one signature...and i take this job and power very seriously.
