i'd grab it from the library, but it's not the sort of coffee-table book i need lying around the house at this point in my life!.

have to shudder when I think of the gigantic portion of my life spent looking out the window of the service group car, observing and secretly envying the people outside carrying on normal activities, shopping, walking the dog, talking happily

I used to have a call next door to a house where I would see a cat sprawled over the window sill. I was always envious of that cat. Her life seemed better than mine.

JW Spouse problems

i am not a jw, my spouse is getting way into it -- 4 times a week.

i am not sure what she is doing - and i am not interested in jw -- it is not for me or my children.

a sister was coming to my home -- without my consent and giving a "study" to my children.

Jehovah's witnesses will say that they will respect your authorith as HOH but believe me they don't.

And yes they will try and study with your kids behind your back.

At one time I was a very hard core jw and I also had studies with wives and children behind husbands backs.

Jehovah's witnesses are on a mission to convert and they will stop at nothing.

Sorry for you that you find yourself in this situation.

I have to agree that there are many jw who are mentally ill.

I grew up with a family member who is mentally ill and was a CONGREGATION ELDER. As a child I would always wonder why people in the cong would come to him for advice and why Jehovah would allow a mentally ill person to run the cong.

Of course no one talked about it and going for some help was out of the question because going to get some sort of help would be "great shame on Jehovah's name".

I beleive that this org breeds mental illness at an alarming rate. I hate this organization for what it has done to people.

If you happen to share double kingdom hall the cong that is missing the talk gets hooked up to the side that has a public speaker.

you cannot reference time or space with only one thing.. so before god created jesus, there was no way to measure time.

Responding To Restraining Order and the Charges It Contains

i was served a restraining order by the local sheriff from my jw x -wife.

i know without a doubt this is a small maneuver to block me from picketing at the kingdom hall and exposing her lies and bullcrap.

while nancy is in the hospital recovering, the other two girls are now completely indignant and ready to help take this thing head on.

I have one concern and I hope that I am not out of line.

My concern is this: this bantering between you and your wife has to also have had an effect on your daughters and their mental state and their suicide attempts.

Children need both a father and a mother ever if the parents are not together and of a different faith.

The pitting of one parent against the other is very dangerous and detrimental for children.

I don't have all the answers and I feel for you and your daughters. But I also feel for your wife right now. This situation is not a picnic for her either.

I hope that you can find a good family counsellor that will help to bring some stability to your family and also to your ex's family.
