Special day Last talk "No formula"
by MommieTiger inthis weekend at our special assembly day, let gods will take place the final talk was a head shaker.... the bethel speaker was quite entertaining when he joked @ the shortcomings of the elders.
he also made us laugh with the comment "we were told the end of the system is right around the corner, but we've found its been more than that, we've been around the blocks a few times.
" he told the young ones to make the truth their own by researching in the wtbts publication (only).

Court case against the WT in Belgium - NEW For discrimination
by Nick! incourt case against the wt in belgium.
you may recall that sometime ago i posted an information about it.. jacques lejeunes case, ex jw, who had won an appeal against the adverse second level judgment, will be heard for the last time in front of the mons court on october 18th.. this case is emblematic as it is the first time that the violation of human right against the wt will be heard.. jacques is determined to go to the european court of human rights if this last case will end up in favor of the wt.. whoever wants to join me in attending the trial in support of jacques is welcome.. believe that jacques deserves this support.. the case will be heard on october 18th at 2 p.m. and is planned to last 4 hours.
both jacques and the wt have already presented their memorandum which is available online on my website, but in french only.

DC Sunday Drama
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inlet's call it a very ugly version of "joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat" recreated as a musicless "a young life serving god ain't worth living.".
it included a highly fictionalized account of joseph being abused by his brothers for serving god and being loved by jacob.
there was no mention of joseph's dreams that degraded his brothers and father.

My First DC 'Mentally Out'
by breakfast of champions inas the title indicates, the 2011 summer convention was my first one 'mentally out', and wow!
how can anyone stand this stuff?
demons, demons everywhere: yes, evidently after jesus kicked satan and his big hornets nest full of demons down to earth in 1914, they're all mean and nasty and just around every corner!

I got to admit that this DC was really the most disturbing of them all.

Needed Organizational Changes for WT
by Kosonen ini am concerned about the spiritual welfare of the jehovah's witnesses.
surely we all have noticed an unhealthy development in their leaders attitude, the "governing body".
they have more and more begun to emphasize their importance and their power, in the literature and talks and thereby drawing unnecessary much attention to themselves.

Once those forms became obsolete --the bible studies in the congregation suddently rose. I suspect that without control, some made studies up to make themselves look good.
I am wondering if they discontinued those forms because most countries have stricter privacy laws.

The GB tightening their grip! Straw to break a camel's back?
by punkofnice ini post on a couple of forums and read and lurk and all that stuff.. a theme that seems to be gaining momentum is about how the gb are 'tightening their grip' and 'becoming more cultish'.. i don't read the publications anymore and oddly i read extracts of them on the forums.. punk is babbling now.............sorry...................my questions are (sorry if they're a bit long.
sorry if i sound like satan: 'is it really so?
' but then i am a mentally diseased apostate).. 1. are the gb really tightening their grip or is it just the same as it ever was........but..........we just notice the propaganda more now we're out?.

a family relative (mid 70 years of age) telsl me all the time that this is not the organization that he knew in the fifties and early sixties. There is a lot more control now than ever before.
He was lamenting that "witnesses have to keep their opinions to themselves or else be labeled as one who dares to question the governing body"
Personally , I think it was always restrictive. I only remember a time in the very late 70s and early 80s when there seemed to be a relaxing of rules. There were a number of talks on using one's conscience and thinking ability. This was the time when the rank and file got a different light on "sacred service"
Whereas before sacred service was only the preaching work- during this relaxed time, "sacred service" entailed all aspects of one life.
This lasted a very short time and then it went back to the old way.
After reading Ray's book I realized this was a time Ray's Franz influence.
The only thing that is more prevalent is almost a worship for the governing body members. The congregation is beat over the head week after week with reminders that the governing body wants this and wants that. It nauseating.
