  New announcement at this weeks midweek meeting?

  the congregation i'm from is having their meeting tonight.

  my husband said that his brother in law, who is an elder, called and said that there were going to be some big announcements tonight and to bring a notepad, because you will want to take notes.. does anybody know about this and what are the announcements?

  why are people so weak in the organization and unable to keep their partner of twenty years free from the accusations of gossip mongering brothers and sister?.

  this thread is dedicated to all the couples who suffered great damage when their immature spouse brought in the elders for every wrongdoing their loved ones might have done.

  the organization twists the reality of the role the elders play in a congregation.

  Pioneer Service School Adjustment for 2014

  the pioneer service school will now be only one week, monday thru saturday.. it will consist of 40 hours of instruction and illustrations/presentations.. the reasong given is that this will make it more accessible to the pioneers for due to work schedules and for congregations having to sponsor and support the school.. it will make it easier on everyone and those who haven't attended in the last five years may be able to attend this school with the new curriculum.. .

  what do you feel would be included in the new curriculum.

  probably more worship of the governing body and they don't need two whole weeks to get this across.. .

  I went to one of first pioneer schools back in the mid seventies. The same crap that was taught back then is taught today . But you are probably correct that more emphasis is places on the governing kings.

  How would elders react if I tell them that I would accept blood?

  just recently i explained to my parents and my wife in detail, why i would accept blood or red, white blood cells, platelets or plasma in a medical emergency.

  i showed them the inconsistencies and flaws about blood fractions and also the biblical reasons that show clearly that jehovah and jesus do not want a jehovah's witness to die because of that wrong doctrine.. my parents reacted surprised.

  they are both about 50 years in the "truth.

  @SFTW-the terms elder, pioneer co are most certainly all titles. In fact aren't these titles called "positions"? When someone is a" ministerial servan"t isn't this referred to a stepping stone to higher position?.

  Also elders and co's tell you what to do all the time and most certainly the governing body tells you what to do. Haven't you been paying attention to the articles lately about obedience to those taking the lead? Someone told me one that if the governing body would say to him to paint this wall with peanut butter and jam,--he would do it no question asked.

  Be honest with yourself--start taking a good look and start making notes of all the times brothers with titles lord it over you and tell you what to do

  You got to get your head out of the sand there my friend.

  So very very sad. Such a sweet grandma. I wish I had a grandma.

  The jw organization is twisted and cold. I hate it more and more each day for what it does to people and families.

  Thanks for putting this up Bonezz and I hope grandma rallies. Give her a big kiss and hug.
