What is the main reason the Watchtower Society baptize their children so young?
by RULES & REGULATIONS injesus was thirty was he was baptized.
today, you hear of young children getting baptized as young as 10 years old.
the parents, family and congregation think it's a wonderful idea that someone dedicates their life to jehovah at such a young age.

I was baptized for that reason in the summer of 1974 at a young age of 13.
I was also baptized at ripe age of 13 in the spring of 1973
( same location perhaps ;).
They want to be able to usurp the authority of parents.
Absolutely!! Watchtower wants to control young and old. Once I got baptized, then I started to get groomed for the pioneer work. The push to pioneer came more from other members of the congregation than from my own parents.

One reason may be to increase their numbers. Watchtower is obsessed with increasing their ranks. How better than to add to the numbers by getting them young.

New forum: one month progress report
by Simon inwell, we survived the first month at least!
yes, the new forum is now 1 month old.. of course there have been some issues and i'm grateful that people have been patient while i worked on them.
a big thank-you to everyone who's been patient, have provided useful feedback or just been willing to adapt to something new during the transition.. i've also made some improvements along the way and am fairly happy with how things are from a basic functionality and performance perspective so it's time to start looking at some of the new features i've been planning.

by Kulotti79 inhello all... i currently studying the bible teach book and i'm just curious what information does the study conductor record about the student and is it passed on??

They used to write a separate report for each person that studied. This included name, address , publication studied and number times the study was conducted during the month.
In recent years the watchtower got rid of this type of reporting and now the only thing required is the number of bible students a witness has. No personal information is collected.
I am glad that you are educating yourself before you get too deep.

Best thing i ever done is join this forum. I've learned more about my own "religion" from members of this community that I did during the 40 years of association with watchtower.
