What TV shows were forbidden in your JW household?
by Funchback inin the u.s., three's company was not allowed.
it was explained to me that it was an immoral show because a man and women lived together and no one was married.
the sister who gave this observation was a family friend and we were newbies to the religion.. at least i somehow managed to watch the benny hill show undetected..

A fresh start
by FormerlySandL inafter the worst introduction i could ever make on the forum i would like to reintroduce myself and make a fresh start on the forum and hopefully over time i will be able to redeem myself.
i have changed my user name which was over dramatic and ridiculous in the cold light of day but for transparency and to show i am not trying to hide anything i have adapted the original name and it now has a more positive feel.
after reading a lot of posts on this forum i am feeling more optimistic about my future.

an hour ago3 pioneer schools? thats quite some going, I thought most pioneers only do one. After my tremendous achievements as a Gilead missionary in North Korea, Somalia,Iran and Afghanistan and repeated attempts to attend yet another Gilead graduation I threw the towel in at 5.Yes, you can go every five years. Most of the pioneers that attend pioneer school are ones that have already been 2 or 3 times. -

Do you know for sure that you will be disfellowshipped? Or did you do something that warrants that according to the congregation?
If it's only doubts, I would suggest, as some already have, to keep them to yourself until you devise an exit plan.
Could you apply for welfare until you get on your feet?
If you can, tell us an approximate location of where you live. We can get in touch with some of the ex jw's in the UK that might know resources and agencies that will help you get a head start and get on your feet.
The reason some of us hear an alarm when money is asked is because there are been scammers in the past that have had less than sincere motives.
It's Ok to be scared and lonely, but this is only temporarary and there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Cheers,

The Watchtower Letters
by NeonMadman inseveral years ago, i put together a compilation of various types of correspondence between me and the watchtower society, that occurred over the 30 years i was a jw.
some was just administrative stuff, like pioneer appointments and letters.
but there were also several letters that i wrote regarding doctrinal issues, including some sensitive ones.

am NOT asking you to give anything but please would you be kind enough to share the page on your social media accounts to spread the word
I don't want to sound insensitive, but you say you are not asking for money, but you've set up a gofundme account?
I am sure if you take the time and read on through some of the archives, you will find some good suggestions on how you can move forward.
