Does anyone know what is happening with Italy's (Rome) Bethel???

there are rumors out, that the italy (rome) bethel is being shut down and putting out to pasture a large portion of the bethel staff.. has anyone heard anything... ?.

the word is that everyone but the most senior members will be let go.

the senior bethel family members will be reassigned.

I heard that three years ago bethel was put under the care of the Seltezr (spel) branch. Germany didin't have success.

This year Brooklyn sent over 3 italian elders and their wifes to set things straight. One is from New York and the other two are Canadians. The committee members have been put aside and these three are running the show.

The blog proclamatore consapevole started out as a group of three who are trying to bring reform from the inside. They feel that the organization has been overrun by burocratic self serving individuals and that the rot reaches the top. However they still believe that this organization is the "truth".

There is a poster here by the name LaFrancia who is involved in the group.

New! Borg instruct to report tract placements

there's a new letter coming up next week to be read instructing the publishers to begin reporting the number of tracts placed in the ministry, including copies of kingdom news 38, annual invitations, district handbills and other tracts.

see, the borg is allegue about numbers, and why on earth do they tell you to start counting placement in the middle of a campaing, like the one they are doing now witk kingdom news 38 and not before it started??.

I am not surprised. With these tract campaigns coming fast and furious, ragazine placements are falling behind. So they need to look for different and creative ways to keep the numbers up--so they can say " see brothers, looks how wonderful jehovahs' organization is"

Pretty soon they are going to be counting sheets of toilet paper used while they are service.

So when a CO gets disfellowshipped is there an announcement in every congregation in the circuit he served? If this is the case , his name will come out soon enough. Just give it time

so... i should have commented on the thread on dating a fader.. i am a fader, and my girlfriend is just... she doesn't care much for jw's... she wants to be with me, and while we are together we ignore all jw rules.

last night, for example, we celebrated halloween.. there's a problem, though, and i need your help.. again, i will explain the cities:.

I think that option 2 would keep you off the hot seat for a while. At least until you get on your feet and in your parents house. Put in a few hours. This will keep everyone off your back.

You are right Phizzy it appears that this caution was eliterated about 9 years ago. I did a quick search and there was a thread about. I think what struck me this time around is the tone the letter had. It was a" pointing the finger" type of letter no doubt carefully crafted by their lawyers. The sense was that "if you disregard any of these signs, we wont back you up and you may be sued----so there".

I remember the sleuty ways we would get in apartment building as Rebel 8 mentioned. My poineer partner and I would wait around until someone would enter, then sneek in and start from the top floor. We would do a few doors and then go the the next floor . Eventually we would find some irate person that would call security and we would be kicked out. But then we would do it all again the next time.

When I think about it now, I am so ashamed of some of the tactics that were used to infringe on others right to privacy.

It went on to say that the householder has a right to privacy and and is in his legal right to press charges not against the watchtower society but against the publisher himself. In other words big brother will not come to the aid of little brother. You are on your own publisher!!

All I can say that this is a complete reversal of what was encourage in the past. --I don't know about the rest of you, but in my area, witnesses were instructed to disregard any sign the householder would put up because these signs never applied to God's people. So whether it was a "no solicitor", "no stranger", or "no trespassing" we were to forge on and bring the good news. And if you hesitated someone would label you as having fear of man and not trusting fully in jehovah.
