Thanks for the comments. I wonder too, if its a knee jerk reaction to something from the outside- say complaints that arrangement is discriminatory against women. We know historically women are considered a lower class, if not the lowest . Is this a way of rebutting naysayers but saying : look at us we include everyone in our schools.

Watchtower schools--why the consolidation?
by wannaexit infirst there was the ministerial training school ( mts), then changed to the school for single brothers.
most recently the school for christian couples (replacing gilead).
all of a sudden news comes out the all these schools are consolidated under one umbrella: the evangelizing school --open to single brothers, single sisters, married couples all the way up to 65 years of age.. i wonder as to the motive behind all these changes this year..

There was a time when I too felt like LaFrancia and this group from Italy that is trying to create reform-- but I've long stopped believing this is possible.
If the organization is from God there is no need to reform because its divinely instituted. The fact that it needs reform proves that it a human organization.
Didin't Jesus say that you cant put wine in old wineskins? You can't put together something that is intrinsically rotten.

This comment is from LaFrancia which I offered to translate for him.
In Italy we have not obtained status under the "8 x 1000" law. The "8x 1000" law is the provision whereby citizens can donate 8 euros for every 1,000 euros owed to either church or government funded social activities.
Presently we have a small agreement where we can allocate 5 x1000 of our annual taxes.
Not sure If I am translating this properly "With regards Jehovah's chariot-----we seem be doing our utmost to be thrown off it.--acting badly before Jehovah, the brothers and the ex brothers
Anthony Morris III will be visiting and I will let this forum know what transpires.
On a sad note, some of you may remember the Italian American brother G. Fredianelli , who has passed away. His experience is in one of the Watchtowers.
Some wonder if the Italian Bethel will be sold. There are various speculations going around and we will keep the forum informed when we hear more.
Thank you
LaFrancia

Advise needed please
by EdenOne indear forumites, i need your advise please.. i would like to write a letter to the world headquarters of the jehovah's witnesses regarding a subject that i've published an article recently.
i would like to draw the attention of the gb to said article, which i will send in print form (therefore, no attention would be drawn to the website where it was published).. naturally, because i am a jehovah's witness in good standing in the congregation and what i'll be discussing in my letter will be a dissenting view from the official doctrine/practice, i want to protect my identity and i don't want to be harassed by elders or subjected to any sort of judicial investigation.
nevertheless, i would be very interested in reading their response (if any) to my letter.. how can i do that?

My husband wrote a letter about 20 years ago. In layman's terms the reply was: "shut up, sit down and do as your told" and the letter was sent back to the local body of elders.
I hope you have success, but from past experience it appears that they are too high and mighty to consider anything else.
All the best

A Faders Guide to Field Service
by pronomono inas a fader, i'm working on a mental guide to field service.
because most of this is a mental exercise realizing that your new knowledge, the mental side of things, is what makes it so hard to preach after learning ttatt.
what presentations have you used in field service as a fader to preach the good news without preaching jw propaganda?.

More WT Propaganda: Low Paying Jobs are OK for Family Heads. Just "Don't Miss the Meetings!"
by Oubliette ingod, evidently, wants you to be poor: .

What lunacy!!
I know plenty right now that can't retire because they stuck with low paying job so they could put the "kinnom" (seriously this is how the COBE pronounces kingdom) first. Now they regret it and they complain that they will have to work into their eighties to survive.
But the "kings of the hill" will still ask for their "pound of flesh".
