Should doctors tell JW patients that there is disagreement about Watchtower's blood policy.
by Lee Elder inthis has been a controversial issue among doctors and medical ethicists.
i think it basically comes down to the fact that physicians have a responsibility to establish the presence of informed consent.
is it really possible for a person to give informed consent if they are not accurately informed?.

I can imagine any doctor going to such length to try and dissuade their patients to see the other side of the blood issue. Generally they are happy if you sign a consent form and it's out of their hands. -

Experience from AJWRB's Facebook page
by Lee Elder ininteresting experience reported by this former jw on blood shows the deep and lasting impact of the wts campaign of indoctrination and misinformation.
it also shows that people can be and are being helped.
"hi everyone at ajwrb.

Happy for this lady and so grateful for the AJWRB site. I know that when I started to explore I stumbled on the site too and it was very instrumental to my awakening.
Thanks Lee Elder

auxiliary pioneers are required to put in 50 hours a month. During the memorial season and the circuit overseer's visit they only have to put in 30

CoBE Joins those Elders Deserting the Sinking Ship
by The Searcher infrom a reliable source:.
a young cobe - late thirties, maybe forty - has resigned in december 2015, both as the cobe and as an elder.
word is that he is a man with a young family who is stressed out and has had enough.

It does show that the morale among these elders is quite low. There is a lot that is asked of them and from what I can see these days most of them are also confused with all the changes. Some of them are also victims of this cult. -

Need advice on fade...
by StarTrekAngel inthe elder that was the coordinator of the boe has just left town to attend one of those infamous schools with this wife.
the view is that he will most likely return to be appointed co. not sure he is going to stick around here for a lot longer.. i am saying this because, despite them knowing he will return when the school is over, they removed him from the coordinator position and appointed someone else.
it was announced last night that the biggest jerk of the group of elders is now the coordinator of the boe.

Carry on as you are doing now. If he is misogynist and hates women he might not bother with you. -

Yep, meetings are pretty boring. Especially now since there really isn't much new material. The public talks are rehash of the old trash. I feel so sorry for the kids that are made to sit through it.
It's not so bad now with all the electronic gadgets. My family still attends to keep my folks happy. it's amazing how productive those two hours can be. I read ebooks, play suduko and do crossword puzzles while sitting pretty in the audience and no one is the wiser. I've even mastered the art of jumping in with a comment and then go back to my own activities.

Basic Principles for Forum Moderation
by Simon ina perennial issue for any online forum is moderation and applying rules.
we have a set of community guidelines and posting guidelines that are intended to make clear what is and isn't acceptable but this tends to focus on the obvious standards of behavior for, well, obvious reasons.
it's easy to talk about people being aggressive or insulting etc... as those are common and clearly unwanted behaviors and the typical issue for online communities - the most likely things to come up.. does this mean that everything *not* on the list is allowed?

Thank for the explanation Simon. Will know for next time.
