Lloyd Evans is an opportunist who figured out that he can make easy money without working. (he strikes me as a very lazy man who can't even take care of his own appearance and has to have other people come and fix up his house.)
There are some real activists out there. Many we don't really know their names because they work quietly behind the scenes without asking for money.

Hey Rules, from my parts here its was split, half were on zoom and half at the hall.

Then there are all the regional stuff:
- smurfs are demonized
- women shouldn't wear pants with zippers on the front
- Listening to Paul Anka's" put your head on my shoulder " makes you immoral
- Skirts have to be 2 inches below the knee
- White shirts only on stage
- Brothers can't say the prayer at a meeting unless you have a jacket on
-Reading the awake for six months will give you a college education

I usually think of Mr. Evans as a clown, but the above describes him much much better
those of us with a watchtower background probably see the memorial as normal.. at least, we're used to it.. we can forget how weird it seems to an outsider.. it's like inviting a group out to dinner, having meals placed on the table, and then explaining to them why no one present should be partaking of any of it because it's really intended for someone else..
In all honesty, even when I was a true blue witness i was weirded out by the the whole procedure. The passing of the bread and wine by men all dressed in black suits was so bizarre.
