First, Neo did not say There is no spoon, that was the little boy who was bending the spoon with his mind.

Second, I have tickets for the 10:30 showing on the 14th. I heard that one theatre here (southern california) had a one time showing last Saturday.

I also heard that those who play the video game will "get" parts of the movie that others don't. I just HATE video games (possibly because I'm uncoordinated).

I am so thrilled, please, let's all "meet" after we've seen it, and decide if we thought it was worth the hype.

Cruise Tips Anyone?....

hubby and i are about to embark on our first cruise this coming weekend.

we fly to ft. lauderdale, and sail to key west and then to cozumel and back to ft lauderdale.

(five days, four nites) we are on the royal caribbean line, and our ship is the enchantment of the seas.. have any of you taken this cruise before?

My family went on a cruise last October, Princess Cruise Line. They did something new, they actually automatically added the tips to the credit card you were required to give at the beginning of the trip. If you objected or wanted to change the amount, you had to go see the purser. I believe they would have already told you if this was the case, but just so you know. That was my 4th cruise, and the only time it had ever happened.

Be sure to do shore excursions that are recommended by the cruise lines, sometimes the local vendors really rip off visitors. Also, lose about 10 pounds before you go, 'cause if the food is like it has always been on my cruises, it's going to be fabulous!! Try to not get sucked into the midnight buffets, they are a nightmare to your waistline.

I think cruising is the best way to travel, I loved all of mine. Have a great time!!

X2 - Was it worth the wait?

i have to say an emphatic "hell yes!!!".

i don't want to pump it up too much, because that inevitably leads to expectations that can never be met, but it was really good.

i thought the character development was much better, and they gave more time to some of the "minor" characters, which led to a lot more going on in the movie than the first one.

I thought the character development was much better, and they gave more time to some of the "minor" characters, which led to a lot more going on in the movie than the first one. I really liked that they allowed Wolverine to show his more aggresive side, and the cute little romance they have started between two of the students. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I will say, carefully watch the water at the end of the movie. There is no doubt there will be another movie, and I can't wait. I like this almost as much as The Matrix.

Anyone else see it this weekend? Any opinions?

who is wearing the pants?

i was thinking yesterday about women in the congregation not able to wear pants.

was there ever anything said in any article about this and what was their bible reasoning if so?.

Sorry I can't think of the actual scripture, but there was one often quoted at my hall that said something about women not wearing the garb of men. Since everyone wore dresses back in those days, I'm not sure what the "garb of men" was, but it's there. Yet another reason I left that stupid, make up your own freakin' rules and stifle everyone else with them religion.

Who leaves first?

i was just remembering a guy from our hall that seemed to be the most intellectual of everyone there.

when he would give an answer, it was in depth, and always "in his own words.".

he had the biggest briefcase there, with all sorts of books, and research.

One of the elders in my former congregation was a certified "genius", worked in some type of TRW black office, and built his own car (no, not a kit car!). He was probably the most intelligent human being I have ever personally met. He is no longer an elder, but he is still a dub, so I guess it takes more than a high IQ to leave. The majority of people I knew who left were unfortunately being rebellious, wanted to date and party, etc. and many of them are now going back because they screwed up their lives and are looking for shelter. I waited a long time before I left to make sure I wasn't going to make any of those stupid mistakes, and I am happy to say I avoided most of them. I think when people leave for philosophical reasons, instead of unfocused anger, they tend to stay out and happy.

666 THE MARK! but who? Part One

666. you all know it as the mark of the wild beast.

i'm begining studies on this subject and my first impressions so far have been quite interesting.

i believe that the jws have it wrong.

There are so many things about the WTS that are wrong, it's hard to settle on one or two to point out. I am not well versed in deep study, possibly because being in the WTS for most of my life turned me off so much. I will say, in my opinion, every organized religion that I have studied has some characteristics of the "beast", if only in their efforts to control their members.

Sorry I can't speak to your specific points, but I believe there are others who could get into detail discussion with you.

ok, how did ruben get in the bottom 3?.

i only saw the last couple of minutes who was the third person in the bottom 3?

Actually, last night there was just a bottom two, Ruben and Trenyce. I don't know what the deal is with Josh, maybe there are a lot of military personnel voting for one of their own. I do know that when I was calling in to vote for Ruben (yes, I called a number of times), there were issues with the line not connecting. I wonder if they are aware of that, or if it affected the outcome.

If Josh is not the next to go, I will have to stop watching the show, because it will be a total travesty.

well, most of you know i have been on the job hunt again

yesterday, i went to meet up with dfwnonjw to get a video about word and excel.

on my way to meet with him, i noticed a "now hiring" sign in a window.

Congratulations to you!!! You never know what can come from those types of jobs, my first job was as a waitress, and one of my "regular" customers liked me so much, he gave me an office job paying much better than what I was gettting. So be sure to smile at all the customers!!!
