  I can pat my head and rub my tummy at the same time, but I can't do this. I tested it on 10 people at my office, and none of them could do it either, so Simon and Little Toe are definitely weird.

  this is so frustrating - just wanted to vent a bit.. .

  my younger brother, who has been "inactive" for about 8 years, has decided that everything wrong about his life is due to his not being "right with jehovah".

  So sorry you are "losing" your brother. Hopefully the loss will be temporary, as many people here will testify, once you've been out, it's hard to go back and stay back.

  i had a good day today.

  i love my job, still some days are just great, and today was one of those days!

  all day i was in a great mood and working like a bi-polar in a manic state.

  What did you lose or give up to break free of the Borg?

  for all of you who made a conscious decision to leave the organization.. what was the price you had to pay or what was you willing to give up in order to be true to yourself.

  ( wife, children, extended family, friends, jobs...etc).

  At first I lost my entire immediate family, since they are all still in. I lost all my so called "friends" from childhood. I eventually gained my family back, with some limitations. This is because I'm faded and "inactive" not DF'd or DA'd.

  It was worth it. I now have my sanity and self respect, two things I was quickly losing in the Borg.

  I saw a commercial for this, it looks very interesting. From the perspective of a black woman in America, it's nice to see her being shown with dark skin and Egyptian features, rather than looking like Elizabeth Taylor!!

  we all know that they say a lot of stupid things, but what really topped the cake?.

  for me, it was an elder telling me i was progressing really well when my meeting attendance was down and my field service hours were slipping.

  I am so sorry to hear about this! I sincerely hope that one day your relationship with your daughter is once again one of love and respect. I can’t imagine what I would do in your situation, but I agree with Nina, follow your heart, it will tell you what to do. Whether that is going and standing to the side so that you can see her but she can’t see you, or sending a card or gift certificate, you raised your precious girl, and will know the best thing for the both of you.
