Nice to meet you, Chim Chim, you're mom's a sweetie.

i don't know if anyone noticed since i'm not one of the premier posters, but i've been gone for several weeks.
unfortunately, the reason is i was in a very bad car accident.
i can't give too many details, because i don't want to be identified, but my car was hit by a semi truck on a major freeway during rush hour.

Ok, so I don't think as quickly when I'm on drugs. Even the legitimate prescription ones
Did someone say Stinky ASKED to be deleted? I don't understand that. She was one of the most prolific and fun (not to mention thought provoking) posters here. Is she ok? I don't have her phone number, and I can't find her e-mail, so I can't contact her directly. She seemed to post here quite a bit, and I know how lonely she has been in FL away from family and friends. Is there any way to open her account to accept PMs? Mods, anyone?
TJ wasn't as prolific as SP, but always thought provoking. I know he is missed.

You are all so nice! I have been going to a chiro twice a week, and it's helping. I had never been to one, and honestly, was kind of cynical, thinking it was just a high priced masseuse. I was wrong!! Those machines are good, and the muscle therapy, while painful, is great.
I miss TJ and SP.
It's great to see those of you here, and I hope things are going well. I'll get back into the swing of things here on the board very soon.

Thank you for the good wishes, I appreciate them. I am better than before, but my doctors tell me basically to accept that when you injure your back, it never fully recovers. I can't pick up my son, or anything slightly heavy, so I have to get used to asking people for help. I hate doing it, but I picked up a box a few days ago that I didn't think was that heavy, and ended up in bed on Vicadin.
Sentinel - can you tell me how to e-mail TJ and SP "here"? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks again, everyone, for the well wishes.

Hi, all,
I don't know if anyone noticed since I'm not one of the premier posters, but I've been gone for several weeks. Unfortunately, the reason is I was in a very bad car accident. I can't give too many details, because I don't want to be identified, but my car was hit by a semi truck on a major freeway during rush hour. I hit other things as I spun out of control, but was fortunate enough to come away with nothing broken.I was out of commission for quite a while, in serious back and neck pain, but I'm back at work now. Still on drugs, although they don't seem to help much, and still in pain, but lucky to be alive.
It's this kind of experience that makes me wonder about God. My accident could have (and really should have) been so much worse, was there some force in place watching over me? Or was it just the "luck of the draw"? I am so grateful to whatever force protected me, but I don't really know if my "prayers" each night are being heard.
I missed the board a lot, and am wondering what happened to two of my best friends on the board. I tried to PM TJ and StinkyPantz, but it says they are deleted? Is that temporary? What happened, are they ok?
Just catching up, it will probably take me some time to get back into the swing of things. In the meantime, all of you go tell someone you love how much they mean to you.
Happyout (glad to be here)
Roybatty - I agree 100%

over the last couple of weeks there have been a dozen or so threads about people having a bad day or bad week.
i feel guilty because i have been quite happy lately.
i've been making quite a bit more money; i've been getting 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night instead of none; i've made several friends at work.

TJ,
You know I'm gonna kick your ass, right??

Dearest TJ, my bestest friend (he of the touchy feelings),
An "improving husband" means one who is slowly starting to realize that a wife who does 90% of the housework, 90% of the childcare, 90% of the bill paying (by that I mean writing the checks and mailing the bills), and 90% of the planning for any date time, will eventually start to feel 90% resentment towards her non involved partner.
And, you know if women weren't around to help ya'll improve, you'd be sittin' on your butts, drinking too much beer, and watching sports all day. You need us to bring out the best in you.
But, I'll give you a buzz, and we can talk in depth. I don't need to be puttin' all my bidness in the street, hear?
Happyout (now, let's all go back to feeling happy about Bridget)

SP,
I love hearing that you are happy! I must say, I knew as soon as you settled in, and those around you got to see your wonderful spirit and vibe, it would be just a matter of time before your hours were filled with friends and activities.
As for posting here, for some people, this place is like a support group. You need it really desperately at first, then not so much, then only occasionally. While I certainly would hate to see you leave forever, I really believe we have made enough of a connection that we won't lose contact forever.
You have all my information, please don't lose it. Keep my updated on all the wonderful things that will definitely be happening to you.
Smooches,
Happyout
ps And yes, I have been happy also. With a wonderful son and an improving husband life is good (knocks earnestly on wooden desk)
