  sooooooo... anyone watch the premiere show of lost last evening?

  while it tends to allude to the crew getting rescued... and getting off of gilligan's island... it also tends to imply that things did not go so well.. i'm not sure i understood all of it... heck - i know i didn't understand all of it.. regards,.

  So, do you have any theories about Charlie and Mr. Abaddon? My current thinking is that they are manifestation from the island itself...it wants to bring the Oceanic Six back to help it. (the island and I guess the rest of the people that didn't leave).

  Thinking about this... I could go for that on the Charlie thing. I don't think the Abaddon guy could fit that mould. He was trying too hard to find out about what happened to the others on the island and if they were still there. If he was a manifestation of the island he wouldn't need that information as the island would already know. I think he is from whatever group killed all the Dharma folks and feeds Ben his information from outside the island.

  Ah, so you are a woman of science, not a woman of faith.

  I am certainly a woman of reasoning and logic... science, with the exception of physics, was never my favorite subject ;)

  I thought the guy swimming looked like Charlie, too.

  As for the Charlie and Mr. Abaddon visions... well, I'm pretty much just along for the ride, at this point. No major theories of my own to throw out there for you. Sorry ;)

  Ya know, I can suspend a lot of disbelief and get into the whole island thing... up until last episode of last season where Jacob was introduced. The invisible guy in the chair was kind of a step too far for me. It's got me annoyed with the show. So I hope they start answering some things before I just lose my mind.

  Jean M. Auel wrote a better version of this article and called it 'Clan of the Cave Bear'.

  An excellent book... an excellent series. But I would say it's more about the short period of time when neanderthals and modern humans shared the earth. If you read the rest of the series Ayla is not the only one with blue eyes ;) Jackie

  my parent's are both jws, i am still active and still believe i have the truth.

  i consider myself a moral person.

  I can't say I harbor any hatred toward the witnesses or the religion. I disagree with it. I wish children didn't have to cope with it. But adults can make their own decisions about what they believe, I have no need to dissuade my dad from his beliefs, they are his choice to make. I wish he would grant me the same respect.

  I did not read the threads you're talking about so I don't know specifically what type of comments were made. But I do remember as a witness how everyone looked forward to the deaths of billions of people. I remember walking away from doors in service where someone had tried to give their beliefs in return and the comments often made walking away from the door were along the lines of, 'Just wait until armageddon, then he'll see!' with a righteous, haughty tone of voice. I also remember the comment, 'After armageddon when god has disposed of these people this is where I'm going to come live.'

  It seems to me that looking forward to the death of people which has not yet occured is far blacker than finding humor in atrocities that have already happened as a way of coping with them.

  But, as I said, I haven't read the threads or the comments in question, so take my thoughts for what you will...

  It makes you wonder what kind of life he or she lived.

  I think it's interesting, too. If you would ever like to read good fiction based on archealogical findings from the ice ages, The Earth Children series by Jean M. Auel is excellent. The first book is the Clan of the Cave Bear. Jean Auel can be very verbose and overly descriptive of flora and fauna, but once you get into the meat of the book it's a great story and difficult to put down.

  Wife has gone back to the Organization...what can I expect??

  my wife and i have been married for just over one year.

  while we were just dating, she had told me that she used to belong to the jehovah's witnesses, but no longer had those beliefs.

  i thought i could handle all of this (i am a non- believer), but she has since got back to the org (all her family belong as well).
