Aojumper-Sorry I never got back to you, Yes I have lotsa pics, but as I am so computer illiterate, I couldn't figure out how to post them. I tried and tried, but nothing worked. I think that Pugs are the greatest. Luther is a wonderful name, I am also a big fan. All your animals are soooo cute, but pugs still rule!I remebered my uncle adopted a greyhound many years ago, and something that someone else said here jogged my memory. They left him alone in a room when they went out for the evening and when they returned he had gone nuts. I guess they are fairly well known for not enjoying being left alone too much.

Reparations for slavery: Just or unjust?
by MYOHNSEPH inthere's such a broad range of perception on this board, i'm curious to know what you folks think of this issue.
are contemporary decendents of black slaves in the united states justified in asking for monetary reparation for their ancestors' bondage?
if you answer is in the affirmative, some related questions are:.

I see Borgfree- I may have misunderstood you. I agree that overly PC behavior is not the way to repair race relations. I am not offended by the term indian at all, I just usually say Native American out of habit. I believe it is what you do, not what you say which makes the difference.

Borgfree-I was joking by my comment, because I consider the idea of reparations really stupid. But I was a little offended by your comments about Native Americans. I know that alot of people have Native American roots of some kind, but I am a card carrying member of the Choctaw Nation. So, I do not say that because 100 years ago someone may have dated a guy who was one fourth Native American and now I can claim ancestry.

Sorry to respond so late, I hope you see this. I was never a JW, so I doubt we know eachother. You may know some of the same people I knew through gossip though. I caused quite a stir in Wichita with some JW's. But I would love to talk if you would be open to that. Again, I would love the chance to talk about the bible to you, but please don't feel overwhelmed. If you don't believe the same as I do, we can still be friends. I would love to meet. If you want my email, just let me know. You know how small Wichita is, we have probably seen eachother sometime already. HEhe

One of my favorites is the one I have as a quote
-don't be so open minded that your brains fall out.
-bloom where you are planted
-pace yourself-an elephant can be eaten, one bite at a time
-there is no limit to the good people can accomplish-if they don't care who gets the credit
The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them. ---a man soon finds out how little he knows when a child is asking questions.
-a man often shows his worse side to his better half
-speak well of your enemies-remember you made them

My First Post - OK, I'm In Now.
by TheItalian ini apologize in advance for the length.
when i finally resolved myself to choose a nick, after a year and a half spent as an infamous lurker, i very likely thought to be the only one from this vaticanland interested in this weird net-place and its inhabitants.
but yesterday i found out it's not this way.

I am from Kansas. I would love to visit Italy some day. You guys have some serious history over there. You are probably bored with it by now though.

SP-I am from Wichita too, maybe you would like to meet sometime. I am a christian. I could possibly help with some questions you might have. Or maybe we could just be friends. No converting pressure, but if you have some questions that I could answer, I would be happy to do so.
