  Another Victim lost BACK TO WT - how sad

  a few days back a dfed black woman came to this site - asking for help and looking for answers, so lady "c and myself decided to offer our help, being black we understand that black jw face some issues that a white witness would not, black congo operate many times in a somewhat different fashion in my exp at any rate , we offered our help, we discussed many issues, but in the end she has decided to return back to wt despite the fact that they treat her like dirt- one of the hardest things to watch is to see a jw get so close to freedom and then return to slavery, it reminds me so much of blacks during slavery who were just afraid to run for freedom , even many times when they only needed to cross the river -as a single black mature woman she is facing an uphill battle, if she approaches an elder more than 2 times the elders wife will think she is after her man, if she wants to marry her selection is reduced to some guy with a plaid suit on, instead of the regional director of her company who notices how intelligent she is, but since he don't sell books on the weekend she must let him slide- well here is just a glisp of what we dealt with and how sadly it ended with the jw doing what they have been trained and indoctrinated to do run and deny below are just 3 different sets of dialog .

  ---- dfed person--sorry, but i don't really think that it is a black and white issue.

  jt- o i fully agree it is not a black and white issue, i was merely commenting on what my observation have been, when i was an elder, white bro in meetings would always challenged the co and do if they made some off the wall comment, while black elders would consistently just go along,

  Hi James,

  Have you been on vacation...haven't seen you for a while.

  I'm not going to comment on the discussion you had with that sister, but what I am kinda shocked about (although I don't know why things about the JW's shock me anymore) is that we, or at least some of us in other countries outside of the US had no idea that congregations still had white only and black only congregations. i mean i understand the need for foreign language congregations, Greek, italian, etc, because some cannot comprehend english as well as their own native tongue, but for there to be a Black congregation only????

  This disturbs me to say the least! Why is this necessary in the US? Is racism in the (b)org an issue, now still in the 21st century? From what you say it seems to be the case.I know back in the 40's 50's 60's there was still segregation down in the south, but now? This saddens me beyond belief.

  I had no idea you had to put up with that kinda crap. A lot of things are just not revealed to people in other countries. I grew up in the (b)org and here is naive lil ol me thinking that as Gods chosen people we were all unified as one, regardless of colour, or ethnic background. Just another nail in the JW coffin for me I'm afraid.

  just thought i'd share with you some wierd happenings in my house..... i woke up one morning to see the figure of a young boy standing looking at me.

  he was there for a split second then vanished.

  i wasn't afraid - it was just sort of wierd.

  We had a freaky babysitter who used to do ouija boards while we were in bed.

  That explains a lot to me, I really don't believe in ghosts, but I must say that I do believe in Satan and the Demons, as much as I believe in Angels....I also believe I can flyyyyyy I believe I can touch the skyyyyyy.

  Sixth sense is a brilliant movie...usually I work out the plots long before the end...this one I didn't expect. Which I really liked.

  okay, i know that historical evidence is that jerusalem fell in 586/7 instead of 607 - as the wtbts would have.

  however, that is not compelling enough to show a hypothetical jw.

  they (generally) must not only be show that the opposition is correct, but that the wtbts is wrong.

  It seems that supporters for 586/587 have been seduced by the writings of Raymond Franz and the Jonsson hypothesis but it is far better to critically examine these writings before making claims about the validity of 607 and 1914.

  What fascinates me about your above statement is that your belief system in the 607 date can only be based on the findings in the WTBTS literature that was researched by the very same Ray Franz who you now say has seduced us so called apostates.

  I personally don't follow any man ..ok? And I never will again allow myself to be seduced by an organisation that is so seriously in error about so many things...but are too proud and haughty to admit it.
