Yes I do! However, I'm not vomitting my feelings into it. It's generally about unusual and interesting things I find in thrift stores, garage sales, or in the trash. ...and the occasional piece of junk mail I send back. Oh yeah, I've also got my own youtube videos and music reviews. My video of the floppy drive playing music is probably my most popular. Second runner up is an old guy singing on Public Access TV.

Farkel Writes a Book?
by Farkel inseveral years ago i was contacted by a well-known (actually famous and well-published) professor from the university of california at san diego and we had lunch.
he bought lunch.
doesn't everyone write books to make a whole big bunch of money?.

Farkel, in all seriousness, your "rough and dirty" way of writing is great. If you want to tell everyone who bought your book that you're just doing it for the money, then do it. This is YOUR book, don't let everyone tell you how to write it no matter how much you respect them. If you inserted comments about how us got suckered into buying your "turd", I'd probably laugh my ass off!
I'm going to give you a quote from a book I'm currently reading called "Real Men Don't Apologize" by Jim Belushi. This is from the VERY FIRST paragraph in the book:
I'll admit it. What initially attracted me to the idea of writing a book were two words: "Easy Money." Two years and twenty drafts later all I have to say is writing a book is a real bitch. It amazes me how quickly Bob Woodward made up all the bullshit about John for his book - Sorry, sorry, another time.
And Farkel, if you did write a book, I would happily be scammed out of my $30.

LOL! I just stumbled across this after reading about version 1.0 of the WINE project being released.
The WT Library is right at the bottom of the top 10 Platinum list!
An electronic version of some of the Watchtower society's publications released from 1970 (english; span vaires between the languages) to date; comes with an extremely good search-tool. Windows is the currently (2005) sole supported platform. Currently distributed only to baptized Jehovah's witnesses. Distributed in quite some languages, but program functions are believed to be identical for all of them. Menus, data and hotkeys vary between languages.
Here's a wiki on how to install it:

Faders: When You Left, did Anyone Give a Damn?
by shamus100 init seems funny to hear how some get love bombed, others get left alone when they fade.
i moved and told nobody - by the time they figured i was 'weak', it was too late - i was gone.
so honestly, what was it like for you when you left the 'organization'?

Noone ever exclusively called me or visited me. If they did call, it was usually for my JW mother and I happened to answer the phone. "We miss you at the meetings!" No you don't, liar. You didn't care when I WAS there!
The only person who actually called on me was the elder who studied me. He came to the door and told me he loved me. YUCK!
Oh yeah, and there was the one guy I ran into on the bus. "We used to cover these areas, remember? Remember all the good times we had in Service? We should do that again!" Yeah, fat chance.
Both of those guys are dead now, so they don't miss me anymore. -

I thought I heard something about him working on a new album. But that might have been the re-mix (or whatever he was doing) of the Thriller album.
IMO, MJ doesn't have the knack for writing good songs anymore. The last album I enjoyed was Dangerous. Everything since then hasn't had much quality in it. It was probably the accusations and legal problems that wrecked his streak of good music. -

Not Born-in, Not converted as adult. The In-Betweens
by Lady Lee ini think some of us get lost somewhere in the middle.. my kids knew nothing else but the jw lifestyle.
they could only guess what holidays were like.. my jw husband converted when he was 20 an adult...a young adult but still an adult.
he wasn't influenced by his parents.

I'm just barely an "in-between". My mother converted when I was five years old. I remember a couple of Xmasses and birthdays. My mother used the Xmas the year before as a good reason why we were giving it up. Here's what happened.
My father got drunk. His sister came over and I was too 'shy' to say hello to her. My dad threatened me by saying "If you don't say hi, Santa will come and take all the presents away. I went off to my room crying, and my drunken dad took all the presents from under the tree and threw them into his bedroom. Then he came and got me to see that all the presents were gone from under the tree.
That didn't stop me from wanting to celebrate Christmas. For the next three years or so on Christmas morning, I would look around the house hoping that Santa had hidden a present for me. Of course, there was nothing.
When I was around 8 years old, I waited up to see Santa passing over my house. Again, nothing. And that's when I stopped believing.
The worst was having my entire library of childrens books replaced by one book - My Book of Bible Studies. This happened at the point where I would enjoy bedtime stories. A few times I had asked for a different book like The Berenstein Bears, only to have it trumped by the hardcover yellow book. I got really tired of that damned book and thus got tired of bedtime stories.
It wasn't horribly bad in school. I remember making a father's day present in Nursury School. The year after, I was forced to become friends with a JW kid named 'David'. I never really got along that well with him (I liked the girls more :) ) but I befriended him just to make my mother happy. I enjoyed staying home from school for Rememberance Day services and Xmas school plays and such. That was the part of "standing up for Jehovah" that was easy.
It was all the doom and gloom of dying at armageddon and being scared of displeasing Jehovah that helped push me further into the org. The only thing I hated was the meetings. They were extremely boring and I tried to get out of them whenever possible. Before my dad started studying, it was pretty easy. I pissed off my mother many weekends by begging my dad to let me stay home. That all ended when he started studying when I was 12 years old.
Present Day sucked. It was nowhere near as fun as Christmas was. The gifts I got were usually shitty, and they only came from my parents. Everyone else in the world gives gifts on Christmas and that included my extended family. They weren't going to go out of their way to celebrate "present day" in the middle of summer. -

You know, I saw another IBM keyboard yesterday at the thrift store. It also has the manual clicky keys, but it wasn't a model M. I think I may go back today and pick it up (if it's still there). I want to replace that crappy keyboard that came with my Acer, which I currently use for testing PCs.

You can connect a nice keyboard to that laptop! How about a nice Das Keyboard? You'll never have to worry about the letters wearing off:
