I think you're right.
I may just help drag this stupid conversation along for the next week right up until my last day. He seems to like dragging things out, so that'll suit him well. It's always worked with my controlling parents, maybe it'll work for him.
Oh yeah, remember that first email where he offered to phone my boss? Well, I'm printing out 30 copies or so, sticking them in every folder in my filing cabinet, every binder on my shelf, and letting the new guy figure out for himself if he wants to stay here (and maybe even the guy after him). That's my revenge :D
Oh yeah, and there's a sticker on the bottom of my desk drawer that says "No Future"

I finally got a response. What a yutz...
- "Nos, I feel exactly the opposite. By going back to Ron you are showing him that you assume ownership for your position within (company name). I firmly believe that he will admire your commitment to the employer who has provided you with gainful employment for the past decade. I understand the future is exciting for you and that you want to move forward as soon as possible but, let’s button things up here first and leave on a good note."
Do you think it's time to forward the copy of the contract I signed when I started here? the one that says I only have to give two weeks notice? ;) -

Let's predict the next 10 years of "noolite"
by Awakened at Gilead inthe past 15 years or so have seen incredible "advances" in the new light agenda of the wts.. there have been changes in the generation (twice!
), sheep and goats, celestial phenomena, opening up the way to heaven (closed since 1935), the "composite sign", "blood fractions", along with major organizational changes, such as paperbacks, once monthly awake!
's, cult edition of the wt, along with the reduction of the meeting nights and change to the po nomenclature becoming the coboe (ssdd).... some of these changes have been foreseen by posters here on jwd, or were suggested by information in apostates recomended reading lists (i.e.

My prediction is that they'll make losing the "Unbaptized Publisher" status on par with disassociation. I already get shunned by some for this, so why not make it official?
I also believe that they will get rid of the public version of the Watchtower and KEEP the Awake. They could easily combine the two magazines into one, but they will keep the Awake name because it's not as tarnished as the Watchtower name. Or they may come up with an entirely new name for this magazine. This is one way to change the stigma attached to the names of their magazines and will increase placements.
This one is a long shot, but they will declare that Armageddon has started. Of course the first stage of Armageddon will last for freakin' ever, but it'll buy them at least a hundred years. -

So here's the new email I'm going to send:
- "I decided against contacting my new employer again about dealying my employment for an extra week. This type of repeated requesting would not reflect well on me, nor would it reflect well on my desire to be employed at this new job."
If he complains again, I'll be sending one last email, and it'll be a good one :) -

WT backtracking fast on Book Study -High Gas Prices
by stillajwexelder inso tonight the congregation discussed the front page of the october km -the new meeting schedule.
straight away it was emphasized it was not because of high gas prices that the meetings were being reduced.
it was pointed out that in parts of the world the brothers do not have cars so it was not high gas prices.

And you guys thought it was all about the Gas Prices. Where would you come up with a crazy idea like that? -

AudeSapere, I agree wholeheartedly with what you just said. However, I think you'll find what I'm going to do actually quite tasteful and non-adolescent.

- "dump the enormous chunk of hardened, packed snow/ice right behind your old boss' car "
Oh, you mean his BMW. There isn't any snow here yet :(
But what I've got planned is still better than revenge that only last a day or so. What I've planned may last years :D
Oh yeah, and I told my new boss about all that AFTER I signed the paper that states I'm starting on the 27th. I told him I don't want to stay that extra week, so he knows. -

- "Nosferatu..Do not screw up your new job!"
Don't worry, I won't. I decided that I'm not staying her one minute past my two weeks. I didn't ask my new boss for an extra week. I just informed him that my old boss wanted an extra week and I really don't want to do that. He said, "Well, you're all signed up now..." In other words, it's too late :)
I have one more week here. I'll be sending a response to that email tomorrow. I'm just dragging things along, just like they always drag around here. The more time that passes, the less likely I can request another week :)
After I get my response tomorrow, I'll tell you what I'm going to be doing before I leave. I'm going out with a very subtle bang :D -

I think I've decided what I'm going to do.....
Nothing. No response to that disgusting email. I've told him that I couldn't make it work. He needs to accept that. I don't need to go back to my new employer. The decision is made, I've filled out the paperwork, signed my name, and paperwork is being process for me to start on the 27th. (Yes, I technically only have one more week).
When I gave my noticed, I even offered to come in on the occasional weekend. He doesn't seem to be happy with that offer. If he doesn't want to work with me, then fvvv him.
The only mistake I made was letting him know what my new boss's first name is. However, it's a big company and chances are there's more than one Ron there. But I printed out that email to cover my ass in case anything should happen, and this is precisely why I sent him an email instead of talking to him in person. I believe it's illegal in Canada for him to terminate me for quitting.
I'll wait for him to get back to me first, looking for an answer. I'll just have to re-affirm that my last day is on the 24th. If I'm gonna shit in his corn flakes, I might as well do it for every last day that I'm here. He shit in mine one too many times with the garbage jobs: picking up garbage in the yard, shovelling snow, cleaning graffiti, etc etc. Oh yeah, and the late (and crappy) raises didn't make me feel all that important here.
Thank god my new workplace has a union.
