brutalized toddlers
by little witch indoes anyone remember the advice from from the stage, encouraging mothers to remove babies from the room when they were hungry?.
how about, wooden spoons to beat toddlers into submission, preferably in front of the congegation, as to set an example in disipline?
was this just in our hall, or was it from the borg?

Jes, I remember you and your sister talking about getting beating for biting your nails, and that your dad (my idiot brother) would come home daily and check your nails for any sign of having been bitten. Argh! I think he could use some bamboo up his nails, like we were forced to read about in those darn yearbooks! RRRRRRRRRR!

Oops, I forgot to add that I used to attend Central Congregation. I can't remember which came first, White Rock or Central, but I attended each. Then I switched to Garland to try to hide from my dad's nosiness. I had hoped that attending somewhere else, he wouldn't be hounding me about why wasn't I at the meetings etc. But, it sure didn't take him long to contact the Garland Elders and find out I had only been there once or twice. Damn. LOL
Dino, I think it's so cool that you know the Thoman's. Or maybe I should apologize that you know the Thomans. LOL I'd love to know more, if you care to tell. You're welcome to email me direct if you like, and keep it private.

I've not only heard of this going on in alot of halls, but experienced it myself. I also remember one District Convention ages ago in Illinois when a woman was in one of the bathroom stalls literally beating her child half to death. This poor childs screams were heard by everyone outside the bathroom, and the screams sent chills down my spine. Several woman were knocking on the stall door telling the woman to open the door and to calm down, etc. The lady just ignored them, and just kept hitting this little boy. I happened to walk into the bathroom at that time, and the woman finally came out, and this poor little boy's face I'll never forget. He was sobbing so hard, trying desperately to catch his breath, I started to cry myself. He couldn't have been more than three years old. There were men/Elders? who walked into the bathroom and took her and the little boy, where I don't know. But I bet she got an ear full. I'll never forget that poor child.
LB-I've heard that story of the little girl lots of times. My mother used to carry a wooden spoon in her bookbag, which she brought to all the meetings. If you so much as flinch wrong, she'd grab that spoon and whack you wherever it happened to land, right during the meeting. Then, when you started to cry, she'd take you outside and whack you some more to "shut you up"! Man, these memories are depressing me. Argh!

Yeah, Titus and Timothy and David are his brothers. I've met David and his wife a couple times, but they attended somewhere else, so I never got to know them very well. I was close to Mark's sister Julie for some time, used to go hang out with her, etc. Rodenbaucher sounds soooo familiar, but I can't place it. Is that the correct spelling? LOL about the balding hair. Even Mark was almost bald before he got out of high school! LOL Poor guy. Julie got df'd years ago while I was still "in", and have lost contact with her, but sure wish I could find her.
About the Thoman Empire....Yeah, I know all about it. I understand why so many view the name that way. My dad and brothers are as you say, but that's not the word I would use. I don't think the word(s) I would use are allowed on this forum! ;-) My brother Michael makes me sick! My brother Steve is a carbon copy of my dad, who really..................makes me sick. They're all "HARDCORE" JWBOTS!!!!! No offense taken, go right ahead and say it like it is! I do! ;-)
