Today I learned - I'm incapable of having a relationship
by Garrett inhello my dear friends,.
while this post may not be entirely witness related, i figured i'd write out my thoughts here as a form of release and reflection.. recently, a lot has changed in my life.
i'm away from home for the first time in a long while training to get certified in a field i'm not even sure i want to work in anymore.

Introvert characteristics make sense as well. Your abuse background ties in with the intimacy phobia. May be both? -

Those are classic symptoms of intimacy phobia. It's caused by some form of abuse either as a child or adult/heart break in previous relationship or abandonment.
It's a case of being afraid of getting hurt by getting too close and having that love/happiness taken away and leaving you broken.

Who am I to screw up their happiness?
by Crazyguy inthat was the question to me tonight.
because of their beliefs they have a moral compass, a net work of friends and a support group.
they have what they believe is a loving god.

It's not simply a matter of a belief system as we're talking about intentional mind control here. The way a pedophile operates is very similar to the leaders of the WTS. The cult itself carries the same tone of grooming/promising all sorts of great things, gaining power over the victim(s), abusing, then denying and placing the fault onto the victim. You're family is literally being abused and conned.
Is their moral compass that weak that they need to be lied to and threatened with the illusion of "Armageddon" in order to behave? Come hang out with me, I'll introduce you to many great people from all walks of life and belief systems, including Atheists and you'll get a real taste of moral compass. I am not an Atheist, yet based on experience I've found Atheists to have the greatest set of morals and they have nothing to gain.

If the elders were abused sexually this problem would have been taken care of long time ago.
by Still Totally ADD ini feel the real problem with the wt cult concerning child abuse is it happens to children not adult men.
notice i didn't say adult women because they don't care about adult women either.
i remember a c.o.

Johnathan Drake,
secondly, statistics have shown for years that a person who is sexually abused is more likely to be come a sexual predator. I have read that in many places
I don't know where you're getting your facts/ statistics, it is incorrect. Most sex offenders were Not sexually assaulted as children and it is a misconception that a child who's sexually assaulted is more likely to become a predator or homosexual.
As for the problem being taken care of if elders were abused as adults. I know of an exJW who was abused as a child and became an elder. His case wasn't handled any better when the pedophile came back into the organization.

JW logo and symbolism
by Illuminated inthere's a recent thread regarding the jw indoctrination expressed on the net, particularly instagram.
from an outsider looking in, i noticed this when looking through jw instagram profiles.
it came off super cult-ish and robotic along with similar wording used as though everyone, male or female, is a stepford wife (watch the movie for those who haven't seen it).

Scientology: http://www.scientology.org/
Mormon: https://www.lds.org/?lang=eng
Jehovah's Witness: http://www.jw.org/en/
They are all very similar. I wonder if they're using the same marketing company.

Spirits, yes. Most people who lived in a previous building including myself did. Also, a friend of mine who's dealt with/seen them since childhood. This is common and no it's not "schizophrenia". The average human mind only perceives so much, and we jump to labeling things out of our inability to grasp it.
Demons? I believe in negative energy, however demons in the standard sense, not as much.

The Searcher, I see it as an intentional branding method, targeting and luring people in from all angles. Scientologist play on this color in their branding as well. Ironically, the negative aspect listed in the keywords, fits both cults.

I wanted to bring attention to JW's being against symbolism. Why do they have the corporate looking logos plastered all over the place? It's symbolism in itself, is it not? So why are they against symbolism that includes humans (other religions) yet not against symbolism such as a blue square with letters that's reminiscent of the corporate "worldly" world or Scientology?
Ironically, the square box shape of the logo is very much like it's members trapped inside a rigid box, unable to step outside of it due to the fears/phobias. Interesting note on the psychology of color, blue in this case:
"Dark blue: trust, dignity, intelligence, authority"
"This color is one of trust, honesty and loyalty. It is sincere, reserved and quiet, and doesn't like to make a fuss or draw attention. It hates confrontation, and likes to do things in its own way.
From a color psychology perspective, blue is reliable and responsible.
This color exhibits an inner security and confidence.
You can rely on it to take control and do the right thing in difficult times.
It has a need for order and direction in its life, including its living and work spaces."
"Negative keywords include: being rigid, deceitful and spiteful, depressed and sad, too passive, self-righteous, superstitious and emotionally unstable, too conservative and old-fashioned, predictable and weak, unforgiving, aloof and frigid. It can also indicate manipulation, unfaithfulness and being untrustworthy."

Vidot, actually he's been used in investigations before and I can assure you he's not schizophrenic haha.
As mentioned most humans only use a certain extent of our minds/senses. Imagine what people would think if you busted out of the trees with a lamp switching it on and off centuries ago.

They told me they couldn't speak to me because I was now "walking with God". This convinced me I was doing the right thing.
Craziest thing I've heard besides them being demon possessed lol. It's the furthest from the truth and not what most readers/mediums would say. They're normal people, average Joes, and like every other situation, you'll find the "normal ones" or the eccentric ones. You'll find legit ones, and con artists. A legit one will inform you they're not an all knowing Godly force, that they read your energy based on that moment in time, however there are many possibilities and nothing is set in stone. As for mediums/seeing/talking to spirits, this does occur. Another example, I use to live in a place that inhibited spirits. Everyone who lived there experienced it to one degree or another.
We all have intuitive abilities whether it's Clairvoyance/Clairsentience/Clairaudience, etc, etc. It's just a matter of what capacity are we tuned into it, and it can be developed overtime.
Humans only use a certain percentage of their mind and senses, and when we see someone a bit more tuned in, we automatically tie it in with fear as we don't understand it. Imagine what a group of people would think if you appeared out of the dark with a lamp turning it on and off centuries ago lol.
