first off i want to say that i'm a teenager which makes my situation interesting.
i don't want to give too many details in case someone i know reads this but i'm between 14 and 18, homeschooled, and i've been awake for around one or one and a half years.
i already have a plan to attend usc or wisconsin university if i'm smart enough to get in and then move to san jose and try and get a job working for a hs football team or with a soccer team, since i want to coach sports or be an agent.. now, this all sounds great in theory but there's one thing i've been thinking about that makes me doubt my plan.
Its common to think that a girl who you've known for a long time is the one but you really don't know until you start into serious relationship, the WTS tries to interfer a lot into that investigation.
I've always wondered how you can possibly truly know someone while you're in there as there are so many restrictions on what you can/can't do and people hanging over your heads. To explore the depths of a person requires a one of one relationship.

You're fully aware of the situation from the get-go. If you haven't seriously been involved yet, it is not worth it to get involved and wear your heart on your sleeve only to mostly likely be led into a torture filled situation.
Your'e not in yet, get involved with someone who fully accepts and adores you, as you.
If you're going to test the murky waters anyway, take your time and strictly be her friend as you plants seeds and see where she lands.

Why does it matter if it's "old light" if they've made a false prophecy? The point isn't whether something is old or new, it goes against their very own Bible beliefs of not following anyone who predicts the future in their God's name.

(before you read i hope no one gets offended by the word retarted...that s how i thought when i was 13)my mom and dad are divorced and my father never helped my mother on raising us, so basically she was a single-mother.
he just abandoned my three brothers and me and my mother had to work two jobs all of the time so we never got to see her.
when we did see her it was after school, but all she did was yell at us, make food, and leave to her next job.

as a former wt member, would you say the wts intentionally abuses it's members in the form of gaslighting?.

In recent years, the term “gaslighting” has come to be applied to attempts by certain kinds of personalities, especially psychopaths — who are among the personalities most adept at sophisticated tactics of manipulation — to create so much doubt in the minds of their targets of exploitation that the victim no longer trusts their own judgment about things and buys into the assertions of the manipulator, thus coming under their power and control.
Gaslighting is particularly effective when coupled with other tactics such as shaming and guilting. Anything that aids in getting another person to doubt their judgment and back down will work.

This was taken from the link Carla shared. Sounds like the core personality of WTS. The more research I do, the more I'm convinced they know exactly what they're doing. How can they not with all that money, attorneys and who knows who else backing them up.
