  growing up, i never ever even saw these guys faces, or even knew their names.

  all of a sudden they're on my computer screen, tv, and on every other magazine coming out of the watchtower machine.

  why all the glamour now?

  @Villiage Idiot.......you are deffinitely right.....within a years time , they have totally flipped their script. Watchtower is unrecognizable.

  And yes , sounds ,and looks like outside marketing help.

  How many JWs really believe the end will come "soon"?

  this topic has been on my mind lately.

  i have been looking around at jws and wondering how many truly believe the end is as near as they are told.

  from my personal experience, i know that my parents fully believe the end is imminent and may come any time now.

  Exactly why i started this post Millie210...... this site is worldwide......and the numbers dont match up. The gb think that jw's wont get hip to them, but little by little they are getting exposed.

  @STARTREKANGEL.... ive always wondered, now that we have to bring our own grubb......electricity, is very expensive on one day assembly day.....isnt it.....???? Watchtower are money hungry , con artists.

  The beginning of the end for shunning?

  the borg seem to prepare for changes by missing explanations out for a while then presenting a "new understanding" which doesn't contradict the most recent discussion.check out the most recent references to gog - no identification as satan.. in today's wt study, paragraph 15 concerning benefitting from the prodigal son stated "if we meet a person who has strayed from the congregation, will we offer loving and practical help to assist him to return?

  " there is no footnote or other qualifier saying not to go to disfellowshipped ones (who are definitely the ones being talked about) which is still the official policy.

  i know this isn't an ending to shunning, but it may signal the start of the preparation for a change.

  Even the governing body dont believe their own "last day" bullshit....

  Or else they wouldnt be planning a large scale Warwick and Walkhill build, and 500 new commercial style building project.

  Not if the end were near.....cmon.....
