  Letter From My Elder Uncle

  this is a glimpse into a 4 page letter (love that song) from my uber elder uncle.

  would it have been different if we knew why?

  i always took issue with the idea of no one knowing why a person got df.. i know im not alone.. i complained to my mother about this when i was younger, explaining that how do we know what it is that gets a person df if no one knows what they did?

  my moms answer was , .

  'if people knew a persons personal faults and what they did , others would not be so forgiving when they were reinstated, because we'd always view them with that view, so in other words, if when so n so, committed fornication, and the whole cong would know it, if they announced from the platform then his/her reputation would be permanently stained' .

  I was df'd for marrying my ex wife......i would take her to meetings as my sisters study, and everyone loved her. My ex wife was not a jw , or had plans on being one, but we loved eachother and got married one day.

  Once we got married, i got df'd.....now the answer to your question.;; everyone loved this woman before we got married

  If they were to announce the reason for me getting df'd, how would people take that? A nice guy getting married to a nice girl.....That announcement mighta backfired on making me look bad. But keeping it secret, makes me really look bad.

  @VilliageIdiot....Ya know ...when i saw an elderly couple move into their sons home, after serving as overseer, bethel, laundry, etc.....it made me PRESUME.....that the society didnt do jack shit for them in their old age......purrrrrdeeeee @$!#!* up, ya know?

  So what happens to all the displaced old timers from the larger buildings? Where are they? .....pension? 401 k ? Retirement doesnt seem very nice huh? As long as the gb have a lavish place to rest their neck...who care how many old timers they gotta step on right? SICK ! ! ! !
