by EdenOne inhello everyone.. after months of neglect, i've resumed writing for my website.. the new article deals with the issue of shunning among the jehovah's witnesses.. it attempts to disentangle disfellowshipping from shunning, and demonstrating that shunning is a practice unbecoming of a christian.
i hope you find it interesting the article shunning - unchristian psychological torture.. it's divided into the following sections:.

John 3:16 - "believe" or "exercise faith?" Same thing?
by Faithful Witness ini recently asked my jw mother, if she believed that jesus died for her sins.
(john 3:16).
she agreed, but then added the jw party line, "you have to exercise faith also.

Believing vs exercise faith, not the same
Roman 10:9
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Since leaving the truth, do you celebrate holidays, and does your participation in such bring you happiness?
by Stand for Pure Worship ini ask this respectfully, and do so after watching a favorite show of mine's season opener which had a new years storyline.
hollywood tends to make movies and television show episodes centered around holiday themes appear warm and blissful.
while i'm thankful to have never participated in such holidays, i can't deny my curiosity about ex-jws that do celebrate.

Hollywood tends to make movies and television show episodes centered around holiday themes appear warm and blissful.
Because it is true. Holidays is time for spending times with family and friends and have a lot of fun. Occasions like Christmas & birthday are the time we give (presents etc), nothing pagan being practiced. I grew up with all those warm, joyful and happy memories as a kid, those are the most antipated times of the year as I remember it.
What is wrong with having fun, showing love and spending times with your loved ones during these days? I just don't think that Jehovah is a God that forbids such acts when all He talks about in the Bible is love, joy and peace.

How I recently handled JWs at my door
by Christian guy inthe jws stopped by my house a couple weeks ago on a saturday morning.
i knew that with others most likely waiting for them out in the car they probably did not then have much time to engage in any serious conversation.
so i let them talk while i feigned interest in what they had to say.

Usually because someone on the atheist field resorts to insult on someone we, believers, consider in high regard, or make patronizing remarks about our intelligence. That's not the way to pursuit a civilized discussion.
Eden
And to prove that God doesn't exist, it is the faulty and the stupidity of the believers that proves the non-existence of God.

JW Preaching Work Ends in 20th Century ?
by Scorpion inpage 12 of the january 1,1989 wt original magazine paragraph 8 ends with the statement that the apostle paul's missionary activity laid a foundation for a work that would be completed in our 20th century.".
(a subtle prophecy that 'the end' will come by the year 2000 a.d.).
this sentence is changed in the bound volume reprint to read "a work that would be completed in our day.

Is there a situation where all went RIGHT except JWs?
by abiather inyes, i have noted many; i will share just two of them.. 1) jws prohibit birth-day celebration saying john the baptists was murdered during the celebration of herods birth day.
will anyone abstain from marriage celebration just because somewhere 2000 years ago in some marriage celebration in the orient, somebody was killed?
or will any country abolish voting system itself because somebody was killed in a voting station?
